I like that this book is narrated from a normal civilian's standpoint. It makes it easier to explain things to the reader without making it seem like spoon-fed information.

This seems like a good adventure book, the time setting is also interesting and the fact that it is only an 86 page book is an added bonus.

Your review of this book makes it sound quite entertaining and funny, as you mention that George is terrified witless and uses "highly descriptive and sarcastic expressions of his discomfort" as he gets involved with returning the Mask of Perpetuity. I may need to go ahead and read this one.

"The Mask of Perpetuity" by Martin Jones seems like an interesting book with thrilling characters. Plus, it is action-packed and it is just 86 pages?! I am definitely reading this.

I'm just like watching movie while reading... But i hope it has also romance. Hope the male lead found love with a twist of faith just like in the movies of James Bond. Action is not really my type of book at all so i'm suggesting to add romance. Thanks... :wink:

I thoroughly enjoyed this book! It is written from George's perspective, who happens to be an ordinary civilian. Thus, we experience the journey through his very relatable eyes. He is terrified witless half of the time, and who could blame him? He finds himself in crazy scenarios he would have never dreamed up, from dodging bullets in an Egyptian bazaar to uncomfortable, rickety flight experiences in biplanes. His discomfort and highly descriptive, sarcastic expressions of this discomfort make this book come alive in a very realistic way.

This is amazing! Usually, the main character of these stories is a total expert, James Bond or Sherlock Holmes type. So, I'd love to know how a regular citizen would react in these situations.

Retrieval of an ancient artifact, set in 1935, pre-war espionage... this setup sounds like Indiana Jones to me. I think I will pass on this one. Also, the sample I read was so riddled with grammar problems I could hardly get through it.

A time period book with a relatable narrative, interesting. MadDog sounds like a crazy character. This is not my style but it is intriguing all the same. Great review.

I have read both the author's sample and the official review of this book and it sounds like a quick and enjoyable read. It seems to be action packed and also offers a glimpse into a different time. I am looking forward to reading this book.
