This sounds like a truly magical beginning to a great new fantasy series. Between the paintings, to the dragon companion, and finally to the allegorical accompanyings for the adult reader, this one has it all.

This sounds absolutely amazing! And I love the fact that multiple audiences can read it and get different things from it. It's always great when you read something as a young adult and then go back to it years later and see everything else that was offered within the story that you missed the first time around.

What a beautiful fantasy story! I love dragons so this is definitely going on my very long list of books to read. I like that the reviewer shared how this is an allegory that can have another layer than just a young adults' book. Bravo on BOTD!

Great review. This book grabs my attention right away. I love that she can make her art come to life. I’m excited to see what adventures her and her friend go on. I will put this on list to read.

I look forward to reading this book. Fantasy books are always two-layered, one meaning meant for the targeted audience, and one for adults. Outstanding review, by the way.

This sounds like a fabulous book! I adore stories wherein characters end up in their own stories or pictures - I loved Simon on 'Captain Kangaroo' - and in strange and interesting lands.

A young adult fantasy book that explores the world of altruism and empathy sounds like a wonderful one to read. The cover is certainly inviting; however, I will have to pass on this story. Thank you for the terrific review. :)

The World of Ato by Patrick Borosky.

After reading this review I must admit it left me wanting to read the whole book. The review really painted such a rainbow of colour and endless possibilities that I am sure if I was to read this book I would find it very difficult to put it down. Its nice to read a review thats like a breath of fresh air, thank you.
