A mystery story with a little bit of humor sounds like something I'd very much enjoy!

A mysterious murder and a small town. It sounds interesting and funny. Now, I want to meet Aunt Wilma! There seem to be many intriguing characters and an interesting protagonist. A must read. Wonderful review.

I definitely agree, I probably would have skipped over this one based on the title. Although as a new author I am sure that she will get better at titling her books. Really intrigued by this one and would like to read it I think. I enjoy mystery and much of them do not have much humor, so I'm definitely looking forward to that. Thanks for a great review!

I was surprised to see that this was a cozy mystery! I read the sample pages and did a quick recheck of the cover. The title and the artwork don’t suggest it, but the first few pages were ominous. The only thing I could think of is that sometimes small towns do quite a bit of cover up to those things that are a bit dark. (Like martial affairs and such) So the title and book illustration doesn’t match the content similar to that. Anyway, I was a bit hooked by the sample pages and your review just helped me determine I must read it. I like mysteries with a touch of humor. Thank you for the insight on this one.

From the above review, I can sense the presence of a mystery factor which makes for intrigue and suspense especially due to the identity of the character that appeared to be dead.

The protagonist also seems like a strong-willed personality who's ready to achieve her goals against all odds. Anyone could learn a thing or two from her drive.

This was such an insightful review, thank you and best regards.

I don't think I care for the protagonist or her circumstances, but I do so love a good crime mystery, so I'll go ahead and chance this cozy.

Indeed, the cover hardly conveys the contents described by the reviewer. It is a mix of mystery and humor.

I read the free sample of the book and the start of the book was not that good but it got better when I read further. I think that the author could have chosen a better title. The book was kind of interesting but not a page turner. Harley seemed like a powerful character and I really would like to know the mystery behind the supposed dead man.

Based on the review I am not sure if this is a book that I would enjoy reading. I am not a big fan of mystery novels. The humor in the story makes me want to give the book a chance. I think that I am going to read the book to see if it is as good as the review made it out to be.

Thank you for this review Cecilia, you were able to spark my interest :D . You're right, I wouldn't buy this book by the cover, but your review might have changed my mind. Plus, I'm a translator, so I'm always looking for new books. Thank you for your suggestion!

A Harvard scholarship versus whiskey distillery? This is ironic enough to grasp my attention. Or funny. Or sad. All words could go well here. I'm intrigued.

You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.
