There is something attractive about the small towns and the mystery that is girdling this little community. I didn't expect to find humor in this work, but it appears to be carefully balanced with breathless suspense. Your review was 'as smooth as Tennessee whiskey' as Chris Stapleton would say. Cheers!

Thanks for the great review. The title of the book did not interest me but your review did. The book sounds very interesting with lot of suspense and humor. I would definitely love to read it. So have added it to my to be read list.

I love books containing interesting imagery and humour, and this review of the Mist rises over Notchey Creek has made me want to read it now - if only to work out why someone would make a Stephen Tyler scarecrow! I agree the title and the cover don’t seem to hint at either the humour or the mystery in the novel. If I saw it in a bookshop I might gloss over it.

I must say I really like the cover and title, but it’s true that I would have to read the book first to see how well chosen they are. Thanks for the wonderful review; you make Harley sound very likeable despite not being a typical heroine and the inclusion of humor in this book would definitely be a bonus. Many thanks.

I read the first chapter of this book, and I was impressed with the poetic language. What really sold me, though, was your comparison to Janet Evonovich's novels. I am a huge fan of hers, so I am sure I will enjoy reading this book.

I didn't think much of the cover or the title but the review made me realise what a gem the book is. The book is full of mystery, riddled with unexpected humor and definitely worth the read.

The characters are well orchestrated. Harley, a sensitive young woman, who is smart, well-read, and hard-working. Also, controls her Grandfathers business, distilling whiskey. The story evolves as she investigates the murder of a stranger in her locality. Great review! I can't wait to finish reading the book.

The characters in this book sound well-developed and interesting.I like the character of Haley ,a hero coming from from such a humble and difficult past.Our mysterious man's disappearance really sets the reader on the way just fine .Thanks Cecilia for a great review.

Small towns stories are always interesting and so sweet. This is a murder mystery that eXhibits well-built characters and a beautiful storyline. Congrats on BOTD.
