What an awesome review! In addition to the intriguing subject matter, the author himself states that he included facts, fictions, and embellishments. This sounds like quite the entertaining read. Looking forward to it.

This is not a book that I would typically reach for on shelves, but there's always something so enticing about fictional works that are based on first-hand experiences, an boy does it sound like Dr. Trucker has quite a lot of experiences to tell, I am very curious as to what that 11th commandment is (thank you for not spoiling) and even more curious as to what are the three words Mother Theresa had told Dr. Trucker, too bad I'll never know the latter even if I do pick up the book

Apparently, the author is quite the enigma. I believe I have a great deal of wisdom to garner from his many experiences as a surgeon raised by insensitive parents. I would like to discover how this lack of compassion transferred to his line of work, especially during WWII. Very interesting review.

Sounds intriguing. Bad things happen to bad people, seems like a good point. But I'm not sure about this book. At the same time I'm curious about it, I'm wary about it. I don't know actually what's the reason for that. So, I may or may not read it. Anyway, thanks for the enlightening review.

What is the eleventh commandment? I am curious to find out and just get a feel of what the author has penned down. Glad there's humour because the gory details can take away from a story. I just got the book and so far it's pretty interesting.

Thank you for the great review! I like the idea of a slightly changed reality with added-in events and humour throughout the book. Other than the fact that it sounds as though the author entirely left out some information, it sounds like a good read.

This book sounds unique. It is not a memoir but is written like one. I like the idea that the reader has to figure out if some of the stories are true, embellished or fabricated. Overall, sounds like an enjoyable read. Congrats on the book of the day! Great review.

I am really curious about what is the eleventh commandment. Reading the story of a eighty seven year old is kind of interesting.

Everything about "The Eleventh Commandment; Dr. David Trucker"" by David W. Florence, M.D beckons to me to take a look and read. I think I will enjoy this one as I am also curious as to what the eleventh commandment says .. well, his fabricated version, of course. But if it works for him, I think I would like to know HOW.

The author overcame his troubled teenage years and built a successful career as a doctor. In this book, he shares the wisdom that he's gathered over the years and iterates that bad things happen to bad people.

The title sounds intriguing. Coined from the life lesson his parents taught him, David narrates certain life stories in his book. I like that he added humor to this book.

A story written in a simple and easy to understand manner with the right choice of words is worth reading. The historical facts about war as well as the humor portrayed in the book makes the book sound more appealing to read. I appreciate your insightful and captivating review.

The book seems interesting. But because of the mix of facts and fiction I'm not sure I'd enjoy it. Also, as a nonbeliever, I find it difficult sometimes to enjoy a read if it's somehow related to religion. Although from a review I couldn't understand if it really has a religious twist...

I find it interesting to listen/read about life stories from elders. I like that he admits that part of what he wrote was fabricated. In reality, memories are like that. Our minds add, embellish and take away bits and pieces until you have to wonder what the reality actually is. Your review was well-written and entertaining. Thank you. 💕

"The Eleventh Commandment" by David Florence is the story of a doctor with ties to the underworld who is also an undercover cop. The 87-year-old author narrates an enjoyable account of his life events while also commenting on the nature of evil and its causes.
