I do hope the author takes your advice into consideration. This read seems to have so much potential. Thank you for your detailed review, Gen_g!Nevertheless, being only 37 pages long also has its disadvantages. Due to its short length, Life Bewitched is sorely lacking in detail – I am able to see the potential the story has, but it is a mere skeleton of what could be a highly fascinating read

Thank you for stopping by! It really is a first draft/summary. I really hope that the author continues to develop the story.

You're absolutely right; thank you for stopping by.unamilagra wrote: ↑10 Apr 2019, 21:31 It sounds like this book has potential but that the author really needs the help of a real editor and publisher to get it across the finish line. It is nice that a glossary is included.

Hopefully the author fleshes it out soon. Thanks for stopping by! (:Mbrooks2518 wrote: ↑11 Apr 2019, 04:53 It sounds like this book has the potential to be a really fascinating read. However, with the lack of detail and many editing problems, I'll pass on it for now. Thanks for the thorough review!

You raise a good point; the author did mention that the White Witch, in return for her help to successfully complete the anti-black magic kit, demanded that certain components of said kit be kept secret. This brings up a major contradiction when he proclaims his desire to mass-manufacture/provide instructions for making the kit, which was not resolved by the end of the story. I hope that the author will address this issue if he decides to edit the book. Thanks for stopping by!Prisallen wrote: ↑11 Apr 2019, 07:48 This sounds like an interesting story. If his family was truly affected by black magic, as he says, then I would think he would want people to know what was in the anti-black magic kit. Wouldn't that be one of the main purposes of his story, other than to let people know that it does exist? That raises a red flag for me. Thanks for the review!

Hopefully, the author will run his work through some editing, and I believe that it'll become much better. Thanks for stopping by!Janelle Juncos wrote: ↑13 Apr 2019, 18:00 The author has a "penchant for making assumptions without providing evidence." That is one of my biggest pet peeves, another being unfulfilled story potential. I think I'll pass on this book. Thanks for the review!

Thanks for stopping by, and I agree with you about the point that very short books usually have the same pros and cons! (:Firefawkes wrote: ↑14 Apr 2019, 13:53 I find that very short books tend to have the same pros and cons, a great idea but a lack of detail! Hopefully the author considers your suggestions for any future editions. Thanks for your review![]()
