Ouch! When I read the first paragraph I wanted to get hold of this read, but this statement held me back,

Nevertheless, being only 37 pages long also has its disadvantages. Due to its short length, Life Bewitched is sorely lacking in detail – I am able to see the potential the story has, but it is a mere skeleton of what could be a highly fascinating read

I do hope the author takes your advice into consideration. This read seems to have so much potential. Thank you for your detailed review, Gen_g!

It sounds like this book has the potential to be a really fascinating read. However, with the lack of detail and many editing problems, I'll pass on it for now. Thanks for the thorough review!

This sounds like an interesting story. If his family was truly affected by black magic, as he says, then I would think he would want people to know what was in the anti-black magic kit. Wouldn't that be one of the main purposes of his story, other than to let people know that it does exist? That raises a red flag for me. Thanks for the review!

You raise a good point; the author did mention that the White Witch, in return for her help to successfully complete the anti-black magic kit, demanded that certain components of said kit be kept secret. This brings up a major contradiction when he proclaims his desire to mass-manufacture/provide instructions for making the kit, which was not resolved by the end of the story. I hope that the author will address this issue if he decides to edit the book. Thanks for stopping by!

I am not interested in black magic but the book penned down topics that would have been explained in details. As reviewed, the author should get more and conclusive details to make the book enjoyable.

The author has a "penchant for making assumptions without providing evidence." That is one of my biggest pet peeves, another being unfulfilled story potential. I think I'll pass on this book. Thanks for the review!

I find that very short books tend to have the same pros and cons, a great idea but a lack of detail! Hopefully the author considers your suggestions for any future editions. Thanks for your review

I reviewed this book at the beginning of the year, and I agree with a lot of your criticisms. I recall enjoying it despite the multitude of issues (the gender swap of one child). I do hope he revises this memoir because it really is a compelling story.
