I would say that too much information and too many characters could be a bit tiresome to follow. But the book still sounds like an interesting and solid read for the fans of the genre. Thank you for this review!

Thanks for a great review. I particularly enjoy technological utopias and dystopias in general. The book seems worth reading.

This was a well-written review that highlighted the book perfectly. I am sold on the book and luckily, it happens to be free on Amazon Kindle. Thanks for the review.

This book sounds great. I love when authors can weave commentary on modern life into an original story.

I agree with you that science fiction sometimes mirrors reality. Or sometimes our reality in the future. This book seems really interesting. Thanks for your review!

This sounds unlike anything I've read before. What an interesting concept! Thanks for your thorough review

This book seems to contain some interesting concepts such as measuring time in "years after the storm", gender fluidity and weaponing children. I'm not sure this one is for me, but I do appreciate your thorough and engaging review!

Holy cow! This sounds like EXACTLY my type of book. I adore when the deeper meaning and implications of the world the author creates are explored, rather than just focusing on the characters and their relationships. This one is definitely worth a read. Thanks for the review!

You make this book sound very appealing to readers who are enthusiastic about sci-fi literature. Unfortunately, I am not and it really sounds too involved to try cutting my teeth on a book of this complexity, so I will probably pass on this one. Many thanks for your review, though.

Apex Five offers much to debate and discuss. Weaponizing children for war, the conundrum of gender fluidity, and the quintessential pursuit for one’s identity are just a few. The characters drive the plot, and Katz manages to keep each one compelling, individual, and distinct.
Well, it sounds a thought-provoking novel with an intricate plot and well-developed characters! It is a pity about the formatting issues, but I am glad you enjoyed it! I got my copy even though it is not my genre; however, fans of science-fiction stories will enjoy it! Thank you for the review! :tiphat:

nice detailed review .. i like the the sci-fi books but from your review i understand that it will be difficult for me to read it .. because i am getting tired when there are many names ,planets and i am discouraged to read glossary, to go back and forth in order to understand alien or extra terrastial languages ,from one hand i am curious because you mentioned that the story mirrors the reality ,political and cultural problems ,i like books that are using metaphors ,on the other hand i think that it will be difficult for me.i will give a try to read it :techie-studyingbrown: .many thanks :)

Sci-fi books are often hit and miss for me. It’s hard to jump into something when half the words or names for things are made up, it’s just hard to follow along. But this does seem like it would be a fun read. Thank you for your review!

I think this book would be easily read by seasoned sci-fi lovers. Perhaps they would understand the complex vocabulary faster.
