I'm always up for a good thriller, but I'm not sure I would like the ending on this one. Thanks for the interesting review.

I liked Sam's character and I am quite intrigued to know about the other character who is quite mysterious. I love thriller and mystery books. Thanks for the detailed review.

Storyline sounds intriguing even if only the character of Sam is well developed. I'm interested in reading the two separate stories. So, I'll check this out.

I love how well thought out and explanatory the comments in the review for Almost Mortal are. It helps a potential reader see both the positive and negative. The pros and cons are expressed in clear identifiable topics and give an objective point of view so any reader can discern whether or not they would enjoy this book. Well done on your review it was an inspiration to all writers and readers alike. The lack of characters descriptions is disheartening, and lack of more suspense dissuades me from reading, however, this sounds like a novel serial killer enthusiasts would thoroughly enjoy.

Sounds like a legal thriller, which isn't really my thing. Looks well-written, though. Thanks for your review!

I'm a bit confused. If you say the less developed characters were necessary to maintain the mystery of the book, how come it still has no suspense? Anyway, I love legal thrillers and this one revolving round Rosslyn Ripper sounds intriguing. I also love the fact that it appears to be two interconnected stories in one. I'll definitely check it out. Thanks for the review.

Almost Mortal is a crime/mystery which i rarely read this kind of genre but I'll maybe try. I remenber reading "In The Heat Of The Night" in middle school which is the same genre, it was great but Still not my favorite genre.

I've read novels in the past that begin as two separate stories. It is usually not a problem as long as they come together nicely in the end- as this one appears to have done. Thank you for your interesting and insightful review.

Almost Mortal sounds like a pretty interesting book! Crime and thriller fictions always grab people's imagination, raise suspicion and keep them at the edge of their seat. I'm glad to see that Sam Young, as a protagonist, is relatable, since main characters are usually potrayed to be of quite high, unreachable standards in many books. X seems like a pretty interesting character and I would love to see the dynamics between Sam and X as Sam reads the journals. All in all, this sounds like a great read!

Thanks for the review. The plot sounds very interesting and exciting. I have added this book to the top of my to be read list. The possibility of who could be Mr X is already making me impatient to grab the book and start reading it.

I think it is intriguing that the criminal confesses to a priest in the story. I wonder how often that happens in real life. The book sounds good for fans of crime/mystery novels. Thanks for the great review!

The review is very interesting. I started this book and wasn't sure I wanted to finish it. I think I will now. It started out great and is well written. It sounds like it has some dynamic twists and written as two different people should make it a fun read!
