This sounds like a great book. It has everything that I enjoy. Romance, adventure and history. Great review.

This book sounds like one that I will enjoy reading, from the gold mining perspective to the business world. I will be interested to see if I feel the same lack of depth to Greta's character as you did. Thank you for such a thorough review!

I really liked your review. I too don’t like reading about any discrepancies in a book. I like to think I know a little about history and when I read a historical novel and it does not line up with what I think I know… It really irks my nerves. Especially when the author uses their own 21st century sensibilities to write a story. Like going fishing in the 1800s and throwing back the fifth… That never would’ve happened. That didn’t happen in this book either it happened in another and it still gets on my nerves. Anyway it was a great review and I’m going to read it thanks. As a matter of fact I already started. I still like to read the reviews though and yours was great. :wink2:

I'm disappointed that Greta's character wasn't as developed and relatable as the others. Still, this sounds like an engaging read. Thank you for a great review!

Thanks for the insight on this one. I read the sample pages, and like you, I felt that Greta’s character was a bit flat which is odd because of the cover and the title of the novel. I don’t think this one is for me, but your on-depth review was a nice piece for me to read as I considered this one. I’m finding with all the titles we are offered on here, I am getting a bit choosier about what I decide to read. Looks like this one just isn’t for me at the moment. Great job on this! 😊

I am not so much into romantic adventures but the historical nature of this book has driven me to consider reading. Thanks for the review. I am sure that the author did a nice job narrating the treasure hunt saga to the extent you enjoyed it.

My favorite books are those that have the three elements you described in your review; adventure, romance, and history, so I am looking forward to reading this book! Your excellent review gave just enough insight into the story to leave me curious to find out more! Thank you!

Great teview. I want mine to look like this. The review enticing but doesn't give to much away.

I normally don't read Romances but based on the review and beginning pages of the book I think I'll read this one. Looks like it's action packed from the start. Congrats on the #BOTD

Wow! What an excellent review! I don't mind hidden treasure novels, but the historical aspect is throwing me off a bit as it's a genre I don't usual read. Your review might just change my mind though!

I like romance, but I must have believable and likeable characters. It sounds like Greta is neither. Congratulations to the author for being chosen as BOTD. Thanks to the reviewer for your excellent review.

Seemingly this is a bit away from my range of interest, so I will pass on this one. But it might be interesting to those who like historical fiction plus romance. Congratulations on being BOTD and thanks for the free giveaway

Steven C .Brandt seems to take us into the office envoirnment by showing Greta and Alex MacKenzie's professionalism. Then he takes us to the open fields adventure of gold mines.Greta's achievements and dealing with business challenges is the theme of "A woman's prerogative",according to this review.

Sounds like a love story with an abundance of action and adventure! I am glad there was detailed character development for the male characters, but that is too bad that you were not able to connect with Greta's character. Great review!
