A great review of the book has been given. But i am not so into the book as the theme of treasure hunting did not fascinate me. Greta characterisation was weak. And i am not even a fan of romance with historical roots. But this book will be a good one to those who love this type of storyline of treasure hunting. Although, to say, this is a good book and it is perfectly rated.

You had me at romance. I love a goodove story, especially one that the romance is between two people that have complications that could keep them apart. "As the couple faces family secrets, ambition, betrayal, blackmail, and the hunt for a lost gold mine, will their relationship be strengthened or pulled apart?" This seems to be my kind of story and I cant wait to see what happens between them. Congratulations on BOTD.

I really appreciate stories with strong women, although it is a shame that you were unable to connect with her. Maybe I will have a different experience with it. Greta looks like someone who is not very much in touch with her emotional side and is not comfortable with emotional expression. I think I would like her character. And I do like the tension in the plot. It would surely keep a reader engaged. However, I don't think this is for me as I'm not interested in a mining adventure, but I'm glad you enjoyed it. I do enjoy reading about the lifestyle of the rich and famous and how they got there. Panning for gold seems like a sure-fire way of doing just that. The stern, staunchly mannerism seems to be how most magnates are portrayed and their children always try to live up to their expectations.
