This seems like a cute children's book. I hope the authors listens to your suggestion about adding more illustrations since kids are more visual. Thanks your for your review.

Treasure of the magical mine moppets sounds like an enchanting tale my grandchildren would love. The life lesson are varied and important for children to grasp. The sample was simple and charming. Congrats on BOTD :tiphat:

This book starts out so fun! Though I didn’t finish it, I really think it will be a great read and the review reinforces my thoughts! I’m sure late middle school and young Jr high kids will love it!

A wonderful children's story but it teaches the ethical values and more importantly this story has an inspirational character.

It's nice to find children's stories that can be compared with books of our own childhood as you mentioned. That allows us to make a greater experience when reading it to ours sons and daughters. A message about kindness and generousity is never old fashion

From your review, I see you mentioned that it is a book for elementary children but listed as YA. From what I read in the description and your review, it is definitely for younger children, that said I think that is is probably a great book for that genre, lessons to be learned about love and family. Thank you for your review!

This sounds like it could be a great book to read to my daughter at bedtime. From your description, it sounds like it teaches a good deal of strong life skills without being preachy, which can turn kids off. I will say that the minimal amount of illustrations would actually make it a better book to read to her as she's trying to fall asleep. Images can often increase her engagement with the story, which is wonderful when we're reading together during the day, but can actually serve to keep her awake at bedtime.

This is a fun children's story with magical creatures called moppets that live in Pappy's salt mines. This story teaches lessons about family and friendship as the characters fight to save the farm and salt mine. Congratulations to the author for being chosen as BOTD. Thanks to the reviewer for your excellent review.

I love when children's books deal with bigger issues. This book sounds like a great one to really get kids thinking in a deeper way. I love that it deals with interpersonal connections but also bigger issues such as world hunger.

Who couldn't love, " a whimsical children's story", I know I couldn't. But I do enjoy lots of illustrations, especially when it's a children's book. I'll have to keep this book in mind for reading to my granddaughter when she starts school next year. Thanks for the review and bringing it to my attention!

This sounds like a wonderful, fantasy-adventure story for kids. The plot is quite engaging, and the audience targeting is great. Thanks for a great review.

I like your review and the enjoyment that you got from reading this book. I could tell from the cover art that this would be a children's book, but I like how complex the story line is. I also like that it teaches a variety of lessons like being kind, not forgetting the ones that you love and environmentalism.
