I very well relate to Larry's story because I've lived in a swampy area before. It's quite a dangerous place to live in. But there's something about residents in swampy areas, they are strong-hearted and adventurous. I'd enjoy reading this book.

Sounds like an interesting book and an interesting life. But, especially sounds intriguing to read a non-fiction book about this after reading Where the Crawdads Sing.

Thirty six short tales about life in an American swamp sounds like an interesting premise. Thank you for reviewing this book. The tone of voice in the free sample I read didn’t draw me in, though.

Sounds awesome! Congrats on the review! I'm not a fan of short stories, but this sounds like one worth trying out. I am very happy to know that the author is very capable and that the editing is satisfactory. I'd like to read about this life!

This book definitely sounds unique and fun because I know very little about swamps. I look forward to sampling.

This sounds like a really interesting collection of short stories. The author's love of life is evident, and it sounds like his stories really brought living in a swamp to life. Thanks for the review!

Living in a swamp, every day would carry the potential for an adventure or encounter with an animal or other wildlife. The author's choice is very brave. The book seems very lively and interesting. Great review.

Sounds like an interesting collection of autobiographical stories about swamp life, but this isn't something that I'm interested in reading about. Great review!

When I think in a swamp I have a nasty picture in my mind. Your review make me change these thoughts and now I am intrigued about author's life and his particular enviroment, especially I want to know what happen after Hurricane Harvey

Indeed Tales from the riverside. The experiences are mind gripping for an individual with a brain that loves to discover new ventures. The stories remind me of my homestead though the title would have to be tales from the swamp side.I appreciate the style of writing .This enables the reader to greatly understand what the writer was going through at the time.

Wonderful review! Although I could never imagine myself living in the swamp I would like to read this book. Your review made it sound interesting, and I was ingrigued by the sample of the book I read. 15 foot alligators? Not something I would want to co-habitate with! Thanks for the review! It helped me make my decision to add this book to my want to read list!

I am definitely agree with reviewer's point of view that "can be fascinating to peek into someone else's world - especially when that someone else lives in less-common environs". That is why I will make exception and read this book even though I normally don't like non-fiction.

I think that it is interesting to have a glimpse of a life in a swamp, since it is not a very common thing or not a environment that most of are comfortable with. I would like to give it a shot. Congratulations on being BOTD

I can't relate much to life at the swamp but I think it can be easier to learn through this book. Thanks for a wondeful review and the indications.
