Mm, yeah. There's a lot of potential but it's obfuscated by the editing. I'd advise waiting.

Thank you for emphasizing the level of gruesomeness (is that a word?) and just how graphic some of the scenes were. I can only hope that it is further edited so that the book will appeal to readers as it did to you. Great review!

Yeah. The gore actually works for it but the editing is what made me pause. It's a shame because Henry is quite imaginative.

Agreed. It almost did for me, but thankfully I was too invested in what was happening to Cadence to let it.
