A nice story in the review up there but it seems women are a bit more fragile and emotional, wish to read more of non fiction though.

Having a terminal illness will make one fragile, I think. It's the way in which the genders react that is different. Also, if you think about it, people are unique in the way they react to unfortunate incidents in life. I understand why you wish to read non-fiction. It's more rooted in reality. Female friendships are often the thing that keeps me coming back to fiction.
Even though there seems to be a lot of lies involved in this one, they don't appear to hinder that at all, which is rather interesting.

A book following Aunt Mary Opal, a woman suffering from a terminal illness, and her young friends sounds intense. Females characters, weighty issues, and comic effect make it easier to digest. That it passed the Bechdel test is to its credit. That it was well edited is another plus. Not for me, but I am glad you liked it. Thank you for the review!

This is an inspiring fictional story highlighting secrets, friendship, illness, hope, and joy. The book has a free sample on Amazon Kindle and has an inciteful OnlineBookClub review that I enjoyed. I rated the book 4out of 4 stars. Congrats @EmbryShea on the BOTD selection.

A nice tale of the misadventures and funny moments along with friendship and secrets in the book "Backcomb & Tattoo" by Shea R Embry, which follows Aunt Mary Opal, an elderly woman, and her young friends. The story appears to be quite entertaining.

Backcomb & Tattoo by Shea R Embry sounds pretty good. Just like Aunt Mary Opal, most people tend not to reveal their terminal illness for reasons best known to them. The cover of this book intrigued me and therefore I will add it to my to read list. Great review.
