Just reading the sample gave me a few chuckles although I have to say I was, at first, taken aback at the crude language. But after a few times, you learn that it's simply how he talks and it adds to his humorous qualities. Great review, I enjoyed reading it!

Pomeroy, who is self-involved and conceited, might be the kind of protagonist that makes this book unique. The crude language might be a deterrent for many, though. Thanks for the review!

"Call me Pomeroy" is a modern-day comedic fiction story. The character of Pomeroy seems interesting. Although he seems to be egotistic and sexist, I believe that I can thoroughly enjoy this humourous book. Good review. Congrats on BOTD!

I haven't read a comic book in a while. I would love to read this book about the character Pomeroy. He seems like an interesting character. Great review.

I like the comical tone of the book, his song for example "Ants in my Pants." The fact that he is delusional and with a "impressive literary intellect" makes him a strange character to read about. Thanks for the review.

While the book seems humorous, I will not be reading it, as I am not a fan of pervasive crude humor in a book. Thank you for the review!

Pomeroy is certainly a "one-of-kind" character. I honestly don't know if I would like this book or not! Misogyny, sexualization, bigotry, etc. The main character sounds like the type of character I would love to hate, and with no clear path for the story to take, I just don't know what to expect. I guess the mystery of it and the fact that I recently finished a very good book focused on a convict, so maybe I'll consider reading this one! It is meant to be comedy, after all.

While the ex-offender perspective would be new and interesting to read for me, however, I don't think this one is for me. Thank you for the informative review and congrats to the author for winning BOTD!

It sounds like Call Me Pomeroy by James Hanna is a new age comedy novel. The novel is written from the third person perspective. The main character named Pomeroy is a street musician who is out of jail and on parole. The language of the book seems crude. Good to know, you enjoyed this humorous novel. Hope it entices many readers. Congrats to the author on BOTD!

Pomeroy's story is indeed comical; however, his smugness about every woman he saw wanting to immediately jump his bones (really now?) was just too much to digest. He does embark on some interesting adventures though, and I think that does make the book worth reading - at least once.

Sounds like a fascinating story about Pomeroy. I would love to read the book, but the crude and inappropriate aspects in the book might scare me. So, I'll pass the book. Thank you for your honest review.

Wow! The comedy scene of this book is as open as the book cover entails, Pomeroy is the new friend I would love to meet in no time.
