If you ever published a novel, who would you dedicate it to?

I would dedicate it to my elementary school teachers that made me love books and to my mom. But I also love CinWin’s idea to dedicate it to one’s self.

I don't think I would publish to one someone, but a group of someones like my immediate family or my closest friends.

I would dedicate my first novel to my family and some close friends that have been my unwavering support system. It may sound self-centered, but I would also want to dedicate the book to myself, because for so long I thought I couldn't make a living solely off my writing.

I think I would dedicate mine to people like the protagonist, who may be able to identify with the main character's struggles and pains, and I think I would end the dedication with something like:

"And to you, for accompanying ___protagonist____ on his journey."

I would dedicate my book, my life, and my soul to whatever deity allowed me to actually finish and publish something. I'm willing to negotiate sacrifices, too. Okay, jokes aside, I don't really know since it would depend on the circumstances. There are many people I could thank, and there's no doubt the list will just keep growing until I publish a book.

I have written a book. Currently working on the second book of my series. Not published. No money for self publishing and I have tried to find a publisher. No luck.

If they do get published they are dedicated to my son. He has been my complete support and push from start to finish.

I would dedicate my first book (ha!) to my high school German teacher, Mrs. Schelleng. She is the first one who told me I was a good writer, and the first teacher to ever really pay attention to me. After that, I felt more confident at school.

I decided to do a mass-release of four books at once for Amazon binge-readers. That made the dedications fun because I could get my family, writers group, friends and hubby at the same time.

The number one person who would be in the dedication is my wife. The one person who consistently encourages me to continue writing. But there are others who would be there too, members of my writers group. at least five of them, they have offered advice on how to proceed, shown me the errors of my thinking and for the most part done it without judgement or negatively delivered criticism.
