Sounds like a timely read. Not sure if it's for me, but interesting, regardless. Thanks for your review!
You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.

I do not think i will read this book. I did not find the bit i read very interesting. This review did nothing to change my mind. I am just not into racial discord or religious discord. The good editing is not enough to get me to read it.

I enjoyed reading Jgideon's review of "Mixed Blessings" by J. M. Muse and I also sample of the book. There is an issue of racism that is in today's society wherever you go. The way I interpret "Mixed Blessings" by J. M. Muse is that life has many ups and downs and when you are faced with something that you're not used to or sure how to figure out which direction to go in it is up to you going through life living in a world that you have to navigate through.

From what genres I've liked so far, I can tell that J like Books related to social issues which no one dares to talk about openly. So just for this reason I would like to give it try.
A wonderful book and a cup of black tea in my hands make my day joyful! :tiphat:

Sounds like quite a packed book that is also very intriguing. So this might be one of the books I get to read in future. Thanks for your review.

Racism is one topic am not mostly active in talking about most at times, but I would love to take a glance at this book, to have an idea.

Coming from a country known for its apparent racism, it is always interesting to read about the issue in other countries, particularly the USA. Sounds very absorbing with the idea of a new race. Interesting to hear that you were upset that the girl's whole visit to Mexico wasn't recounted in full. A nice review which was pleasant to read.

Name of the book and it’s cover intrigued me. I am curious about the new race that Kublai Khan wants to introduce. It’s disappointing that Kimberly’s experience in Mexico is not elaborated. Thanks for the insightful review.

Racism is a very bad thing. There are various kinds of racism and neither one did any good for people at any time. So it is wonderful that the author gives the readers an extensive explanation to help them understand racism. It will be interesting to read this book. Congratulations on becoming BOTD!

"Politics is an honorable enterprise", Obama once said. However, when some people start to ise it as a means to a personal gain then you have a problem. Others, "use religious entities to show how both whites and people of color have used religion to propagate racial wars". At least here you have an enlightment to gain. Nice review.

I'm wondering how Kimberly fits into the story since it seems to focus mainly on the leaders of the new race and the white race. When people understand that we are all alike underneath our skin color and religious differences, then maybe we can begin to live in peace. Thank you for a wonderful review!

I’m not sure I’m interested in political themes regarding race, but the book sounds well-crafted so I’ll read the sample.
