It certainly is true that religious beliefs can be used for harm or good. This exploration of race sounds very well-executed and worth reading. And professionally edited, too. Thanks!

I'm not normally into racial books but this review makes me want to go check it out, even if it may not be totally detailed or explain everything.

This is an exceptionally detailed and insightful review. I wasn't sure what to expect from the book, but it sounds very compelling. I am open to read a fictional commentary on race issues and the pros and cons of religion. This sounds like a really unique book.

Thank you so much for reading and writing your review!

This book is incredibly relevant in today's age, with the growing hostility between races and classes and even religion. The divide is huge, almost intimidatingly huge, to the point where sometimes I don't know if we can heal the wounds. I love that the story incorporates religion to make a statement about influence and privilege, in that religion is a powerful force to change people's mindsets. In order to change racism, you have to change the mindset and culture. I think it's great that the book takes on this important theme. Thanks for your review, it was very enlightening!

A book that talks about a mixed-race girl and a revolutionary black man sounds exciting. Putting themes like racial identification, stereotypes, and racism enriches the story

The author sure got one thing right, all wars are started by one religion or another. Great review.

I also liked that the author chose to use religious entities to show how both whites and people of color have used religion to propagate racial wars. This is,an amazing book.

I like this unique approach to the hot topic of racism in America, and I'm curious to know what became of this "new race". Thanks for sharing.

This genre is not something I would usually read. However you've made this book sound interesting. I'll consider reading this when I feel like something deep and thought provoking

Racial discrimination and bullying are sensitive and controversial issues and for these to be in one novel is a very intriguing to say the least. A lot to take on in a book so congrats to the author for the bravery! Happy reading while learning!

Good review. This review have one common thing about the last book that I have read and that is racial discrimination of those that are not pure white in America. In the end, we are all people with feelings regardless of skin colors.

Mixed Blessings dramatizes the racism prevalent in the United States. By seeing characters of all races, we see the problem from both sides. Congratulations to the author for being chosen as BOTD. Thanks to the reviewer for your excellent review.

As hard as it is to face sometimes, racism is basically always a timely topic. This book sounds like it tries to tackle its complexities, and if it weren’t for the lack of expounding on Kimberly’s experiences, it possibly could’ve gotten all four stars? Such a sensitive subject and personal too...I’m definitely intrigued!

Great job for the review. This is a beautifully written review for Mixed Blessings. I liked how everything from os to cons were included. There were key points to consider and there were low points which are important.

Racism is not unfamiliar to us, even if we are still in elementary we always heard this kind of word. It so sad that until this day, racism is still a problem in one's society. By the way great review. Cheers!
