I'm going to get one. And it will be one to remember :)

I'll get a WHOLE CHAPTER from Camus' Stranger in a tiny font written in a spiral acroos my whole left arm, so it will be a sleeve.

I've three. Got my first one at 45 :) And planning at least 2 more. All rose motif. The first was a neck tat...and yes...it hurt. LOL. After the grandchildren got over the initial "G'wama...Y did you wite on youself?" They started calling me Grandma Rose :)

Aside from the issues of needle-cleanliness and pain, tattoos [and piercings other than for earrings on women] are often seen as a mark of immaturity, unreliability, frivolity, etc. i.e., the traits of a bad person. Some businesses will not hire someone who has visible tattoos, especially if the candidate would be working with the public.

I've know some with tattoos who were upstanding people; I've also known some with them who were not. So, I guess we can say for discussion's sake that I'm "on the fence" with the issue, leaving it to personal preference. But I would say this to anyone contemplating "getting inked:" Know what you're in for, especially long-term.

Lonestar...most needles these days are single use hermetically sealed. The pain is minimal (and they have even perfected numbing cream for those very squeamish) though I have never found it much wore than a rug-burn. The whole prejudice thing...much worse years ago..not so much now. It seems like everyone is getting them from soccer moms to CEO's. I prefer tattoo's that are not readily visible but it is definitely a personal preference. Got my first at 45 and have 3 and ready for my 4th...rose themed for the most part. Body art and tastefully done.

I have a goldfish that wraps behind and under my right ear (My four year old nephew named him Gilbert). I had a friend die in a car wreck when she was sixteen, and we always said that since we were both Pisces that we would get matching tats, so its out of memory for her. And i picked that fish because i've been told several times that i have the attention span of a goldfish.

Finished sketching my 4th this afternoon. Gnarled roots and jagged stump...tree of life groove with a small bodhi sapling rising from the midst of the stump topped with three bodhi leaves...a small pile (10) dead leaves near the right side of the roots...vining with 3 full blossom roses (for my 3 sons) and off one of the roses 4 smaller closed buds for my grandchildren. My tat guy does a great job with shading. Can't wait! (going to incorporate it around my pre-existing keyhole tat on my R lower leg)

I'm going to get a peter pan tattoo on my back right shoulder. Peter pan, wendy, john and michael flying under the quote "Thats where i will be waiting." from peter pan.

Incase everyone doesnt know the full quote, it's:
"You know that place between sleep and awake? That place where you can still remember dreaming?
That's where i will always love you. That's where i will be waiting."

And i want one onmy hip that says
"Les temps sont durs pour les rêveurs" which means "Times are hard for dreamers."

I have one tattoo so far; it's a colorful butterfly on my left shoulder. It's a nice size, not too big or small. Although, some of my family members would argue that it's too large. I love it though. I'm still planning out my second one; I'm not sure what I want exactly.

Tattoos are suits on some of the people and some tattoos are not suits on the body because of the low quality. I like to have tattoo on me well till now I don't have. One day I guarantee I will get tattoo on my head.

I once knew a girl who had tattooed on her upper thigh, If you can read this you're too close.
