Well, I made it to page 36 and I am crying. The book is so real for those who have experienced anything remotely close to the topic. Thank you for today's book of the day and I pray I am able to finish the book because I have already become attached to Sue, Bruce, Sasha, John, and Justin. I am curious about their journey in comparison to others who ultimately led her to write her story. That last sentence may not make sense but I am trying to avoid being a spoiler. Again, thank you.

This is a very sad memoir but I would love to read it. Though emotional, I think it is educative in a great way.

I agree with the sentiments in this book. The phrase so often seen in funeral announcements "died peacefully", is so often not true, "died hard" seems more true for most. Better to die with dignity and pre-meditation. I'm sure this book reveals many other aspects of supporting a dying person and is well worth reading. Thanks for the review.

Wow, this will be an emotional read for me. Death is a heavy topic. I salute the author's hope and positivity. I don't think I can be that strong. I added it to my to-read list.

I hate to say it, but I wish your summation was more refined. Witholding from further criticism, I must acknowledge the profundity with which it struck me at first. It throws into sharp relief the appeal of this heart-rending memoir, and that the thought of Susan's suffering can bring tears to your eyes.

The book seems so calm from the cover, but sounds so sympathetic from the review. I would love to read the book to find out if their would be a way out of their predicament.

This certainly sounds like an inspiring and moving story. Despite the brilliant review, I think that this book obviously has to be read to be appreciated. I think the message that I like most is about life being short. It amazes me that so few people seem to realise this. Perhaps reading this book could change that, I certainly hope so because people seem concerned with only the transient things of life, which won't really matter in years to come. Sounds like a memorable book and I really enjoyed the reveiw.

I really do not enjoy reading books that are in any way related to the medical field.

Insightful review. Loss isn't easy and watching a loved one fade awake can be very daunting. The author was strong in sharing this story.

Don’t think I could read through a book about people dealing with terminal health issues at this point. It sounds like the memoir gave you a catharsis and hope at the end of it, though. Thanks for your review.

Trully this memoir sounds great; I'm glad it is a free book and I'll definitely try it. It is such an emotional read also.
