A true story that reads like a novel sounds like a must read. True stories are generally great to hear, but sometimes they are aren’t crafted into the best story, given the years of content people have in their lives. Reading like a novel sounds like this is a writer that struck the perfect balance of events and story moments that do life justice, even if the memory isn’t perfect.
“History doesn’t repeat itself, but it does rhyme” - Mark Twain. Dare we say the same thing about every story that gets told in the world?

This sounds like such an emotional novel. I don't think that this is a good fit for me so I'm going to pass on reading it but I applaud the author for taking the time to write this and share their story.

I enjoyed the simplicity of your review. I am sure this is a heart wrenching ride.

I may have to purchase and give this book to one of my family friends. He lost his mom this year to liver cancer, and this friend was not even 18 when she passed away. More books like this need to be written; the loss of a loved one to cancer is very painful even to the close friends of their family. Kudos to a great book!

This review is so elegantly written that it makes me want to cry. I can only imagine how beautifully the book is written. Unfortunately, because of my past experiences, I am unlikely to read it.

Thinking of death is often so scary. I'm glad that this story focuses on the positives. I also appreciate your cheerful review.

Death is a heavy subject no matter what side of the fence your on. It's nice to have a book that will comfort you and leave you feeling less alone.

I do not personally deal with death very well, so a book like this could help me very much. This sounds like a very relatable and heart-touching read. Congrats on BOTD!

This would be a very hard book for me to read. My father died of cancer less than a month before my 21st birthday. It was one of the hardest things I've ever been through, and it's something I still struggle with even years later. Cancer has touched so many lives, unraveling families and friendships with a rotten touch... it's heart-breaking. I think this book will be comforting to others struggling with grief and loss. It is not for me, as I think it'd probably trigger some pretty awful memories for me, but everyone grieves differently. What works for one person will not work for another. This looks like a wonderful tale of coming to terms with an unfortunate fate, and learning to accept the end of a long journey. Thank you for your review.

This book seems like a real tearjerker! It is sad when a loved is diagnosed with something that leads to their inevitable death. I like how you mentioned that even though this is about death, there is a lot positivity here, as well. It's good to hear that the author's words are easy to understand. Also, I like when non-fiction reads more like a novel. What a great feeling that must be to think about the happy memories of your loved ones that passed away instead of sad ones. I'm glad you enjoyed this well-edited and emotional book. Thank you for sharing!

This true story of Susan and her husband Bruce going through cancer and being able to radiate positivity sounds like one that many should want to read. I like how you mentioned that the author is a good story-teller and that their story seemed like a novel. Celebrating life in the face of death sounds amazing.

This sounds like a great and inspirational memoir, and a credit to the genre. I think it may be a little too sad for me, though!

This sounds like a book for anyone who has battled cancer; lost loved ones to cancer, and needs to filter through their emotions. This book sounds quite powerful and well-written.

I can't wait to read this book. I give kudos to the author for writing the story, which is not easy to do when recounting a highly emotional event. Thanks for your review.
