It was the title that drew me to reading your review. I am an avid reader of historical fiction especially those including time travel and other era existance. This is a time and country that I have yet to explore, The idea of Christianity taking root through arts and culture is very appealing to me. I will add this story and author to my Want to Read bookshelf.

Thanks for your comment. Hope you enjoy the book.

I love when an author's love for the subject she is writing about shines through in the words. It makes the story that much more enjoyable.
Thanks for the wonderful review, Cecilia :)

Thank me?! No, no. Thank you! I really was serious about knowing what your next read/review is. Perhaps you can give me a "heads up" when you're done/ready. But no pressure. A "good read" can be ruined if you're under too much of a "time crunch". L-L

I am generally not a big fan of historical fiction, but this book sounds very insightful and helpful to people like me who aren't that knowledgable about details of historical events. Great review!
