This sounds likena very practical book on self-help and not a book with magical, mystical theories which don't seem to really work. I like the concepts of crawling, walking and running that he uses to illustrate his ideas. Of course the concept of actually having to work,in order to achieve something is also a valid point! This was a comprehensive and detailed review of an out of the ordinary self help book.

Get Your Head Outta Your But's was quite a surprise for me. I expected something fluffy like most self-help books, but came away with a great deal of both inspirational quotes and notes, as well as encouragement to live my own life better.
.

I am glad you found it useful! Actually, you review intrigued me. I don't read self-help books but just added this one to my TBR list! Plus, it was well edited as you only found two errors. Thank you for the amazing review!

Effective self-help materials are usually hard to come by. The review was lengthy but detailed. Thank you for taking out time to write this.

After reading the sample of the book If Life Stinks Get Your Head Outta Your Buts, I have to say o agree with all of what the author is saying. I've been one to tell people the same things and need to hear it myself. We are in control of our circumstances for the most part in life. Yes some things are not our fault, but mostly we have a choice to stay where we are, complain and say never and whoa is me, or we can get up, be stronger and make positive changes for ourselves and our family's. Everybody is guilty of this at one time or another in their life. I will definitely buy and read the whole thing. Nobody is ever too good to hear words of wisdom. I certainly could use a refresher course. Thanks Scott!

Great review. I needed to get my head out of my but’s today, and this book was right on time. Glad to hear he continues the straightforward approach throughout the book. I will definitely have to continue reading it.

The sample seems all right but not really enough to go on. I enjoyed your review. As a person with conditions such as ADD, bipolar disorder, and obsessive-compulsive disorder, there is a faulty wiring component which can sideline me at times, and a "tough love" approach often tends to make me sink deeper into self-hate, and that can be a hard trap to get out of. I'm not awfully fond of self-help books as a whole. I bought enough of them to sink a ship back in the 1980s when I was trying to "find myself."

I’m not a fan of ‘self-help’ books in general, and the review of this book was long and over-detailed. I’m not moved to read this book.

This is indeed a no-nonsense guide to happiness and success. We've got to be responsible for our world and wake up from our slumber. Life is tough. It takes tough people to live life.

If Life Stinks, Get Your Head Outta Your But's by Mark L. Wdowiak sounds amazing. Unfortunately, self-help books are not just my cup of tea. I read them selectively otherwise I will recommend it. Great review.

I don’t normally indulge in self help books, but the title of this book made me smile. Aha, a person with a similar sense of humour to me! The tone of the author throughout the sample I read spoke to me on so many levels, both informative, friendly, enthusiastic and ever so slightly irreverent. Thanks for reviewing this book, it’s going on my to read list.

I tend to avoid self-help books, but this sounds like it may be an entertaining one. From the review and the free sample, it sounds like the author has found an engaging way to communicate. Thanks for the review!

I had to read the title twice to get the meaning, it's very catchy and creative. I like that the book takes a different approach to self-help. I will like to check it out for that reason.
