I think I find the book intriguing. The characters sound interesting and the anticipated humor by Bobby and Terry just adds to the appeal. Thanks for the review. :tiphat:

The witty humor you describe sounds appealing. I was also drawn to the book by its cover.

I love the concept! I would love to see the duo comically trying to solve women's problems and contending with bullies in the playground. This is just the laugh out loud book I need right now. Definitely on my to-read shelf.

Wow, this book looks GREAT!!! Sexual innuendos are not a problem in my home; they are used on the daily. This book reminds me of a movie that was recently released in theaters, although I am not sure of the name right now. Will definitely be giving this one a read!

However, the thing which I really admired was the author’s ability to incorporate serious issues into the plot. Although the book was predominantly humorous, snippets of the boys’ backstories were present throughout it.
This is a rare combination, humor and serious issues. Great review.

I'm looking forward to reading Bobby and Terry's adventures. It would be interesting to see the problems of society in the eyes of children. Also, subtle humor is so underrated.

I totally agree with KristyKhem. I am envious on her review, I wish I had written it myself. She notes all the reasons to like the book, the humor first, then the mix of child imagination and "knowledgable" interpretation of reality and the hard facts of tough reality itself.
And I must declare I love Tara Basi's work, this being the second book by him I am reading.

Thanks for the review, it is not easy to find the right balance between serious topics and humor, but it sounds as if the author achieved the perfect balance. Following the antics of two boys in catholic school sounds like a fun way to spend the weekend.

Tara Basi is rapidly becoming my new favorite author, and this one feels like another hit. I particularly like that the story is written from Terry's point of view, which makes the events feel more personal. I can't wait to dive in! Thank you for your review.

I have yet to read a full Tara Basi book, but I've read a couple of samples, and they've been intriguing and enjoyable thus far. This one was no exception. I loved your review and how you put things in perspective.

Far too often, children aren't given credit for their power of observation and awareness of what is occurring around them. The current events, political climate, and social events surrounding them are not lost on these children, who attempt to come up with hilarious solutions that often backfire. Tara Basi has a fabulous gift for writing, and I look forward to reading more of her work soon. Thank you for your review.
