Tara Basi is one of my favourite authors lately. Her brand of satire and style of writing are extremely entertaining. In this book, she tackles real issues facing the characters while cracking up the reader. This is one for my library. Thank you for a wonderful review.

I really liked the sample I read! I think I’ll have to add this one to my list. I rarely pick funny books but this one sounds like it will be very good. Thanks for the great review.

Only1Cola wrote: 30 Aug 2019, 15:53 Excellent review! I’m sure my son will love this book too. The antics that only teenage boys can get up to, are always wildly entertaining. I’m grateful that the review pointed out the deeper themes that the book explores too.
I feel like so many authors can be out of touch with how perceptive kids can be as to what is going on in the larger world. The author seems to be well aware of how in touch teenagers can be of what's around them, with more than just a touch of humor!

This sounds very entertaining. I like that the characters have a darker backstory to cut into the humor a bit. Sounds like a great book!

The book sounds unique. But I am not interested in the plot. So will pass it on.

I like satirical books, and Tara Basi's work sounds like a hilarious read. I believe that an ingenious talent is needed to bring humor to certain serious topics, and the author seems to have successfully brought out. Great review! Thanks!

This sounds like a book I should read. Asides the humor, I'll like to know what Bobby and Terry were up to.
Thanks for the wonderful review.

:D a great overview of life, it's a book that relates with almost all aspects of life and a book that everyone should read. It's the good sense of humor that glued me to it.

Dry humour that makes one laugh out loud? Interesting characters? This is definitely a book for me.

I like that the book address appealing themes that are common today and the humor in the story is an added bonus. Unfortunately, I don't think the book is fit for me due to the sexual content featured in the story. I'll pass the book.

Serious issues shown through humor and satire? Sounds interesting. Terry and Bobby also seem entertaining characters.

Kudos to the author for a great satire that uses a small Catholic primary school playground to mock at adults' self-sufficiency and seemingly insurmontable problems. The unlikely duo and a half (Teddy, Bobby and Doug) make us reflect on the often ridiculous nature of our preoccupations and human hypocrisy in general. Thanks for a wonderful review!
