It's funny how the author sees the current humanistic and political issues transferred into a very distant future of mankind. I believe I will skip this book suggestion, your review is an eye-opener.

I don't usually go for sci-fi and fantasy, especially the complicated ones. This seems to be one of those puzzling plots that get to cover a lot of ground (and space). It looks like I will have to miss on meeting Carl Wolf and Tatyana.

The errors and unsatisfying ending are unfortunate drawbacks for a book that seems so promising. It sounds like the book had the potential to be sci-fi at it's finest but, as you said, the author just seemed to miss the mark. I love that the characters are well-developed even if the author did 'forget' to share some of the details. I may give this one a try! Thanks for the great review!

I should also mention that this story contains several expletives and some vulgar references. I had encountered the F word 6 times and a couple rude remarks about virginity after reading only 43% of the free sample (and before l was even done the first chapter). They fit who the character was and it's much less than what you would hear just standing in line at the grocery store, but it can affect my decision to buy a book and I thought I would mention for others of likewise sensibilities.

P.S. where does one go to apply for a "xeno-wrangler" job and how well does it pay? Does it usually come with a dental plan? Sounds like an interesting career decision.😵
And they sang a new song saying,
"You are worthy to take the book,
and to open its to seals,
for You were slain and have redeemed us to God,
by your blood, out of every tribe and tongue and people and Nation." Rev. 5:9

This is one of the reasons why I seldom go for book series. The cliffhanger endings can be a little too much. Too bad there wasn't a clear resolution and the plotlines did not converge. Maybe the next book can provide a better ending, but for now, I'll pass.

Thanks for the review, the first two plot lines sounds interesting, but maybe in two different books? The excessive swearing in the sample are also not to my taste.

It’s too bad the storylines didn’t connect, but knowing that in advance might make the book more enjoyable. Sounds interesting.

The premise of this book sounds promising. It's bad that the execution wasn't well done.

Unfortunately, Sci-Fi/Fantasy is totally not my genre. So much in fact that I am afraid I'm unable to estimate its true value in premise and composition. To write book requires much work and certainly deserves better than be attested by someone who has not clue what they are talking about))

A science fiction book set in the distant future tells a story in which humans left Earth to colonize planets from other galaxies, bringing with them many of the same political problems we see today. I really don't like that kind of genre.

I'm not big on fantasy sci-fi novels, bit this book appears well-written. I hope the author accepts your constructive criticism. Thanks for your compelling review.

I'm not a huge fan of multiple plot lines. However the premise sounds promising. Thanks for the review

It's too bad about the story structure not resolving very well however, the premise of this book seems compelling. Nice review.
