It is a good book with stories are not monotonous. It was well edited is and also serves as inspiration for migrants.
Feeling upset sometimes may be unavoidable, but acting distressed is always optional.

This is the story of three generations of a family that immigrated to the United States to make a better life for themselves and for their children. Each generation's story is interesting and colorful. Congratulations to the author for being chosen as BOTD. Thanks to the reviewer for your excellent review.

With all the negative publicity surrounding immigration in the news currently it is nice to be reminded of the plight of the people seeking immigration and how it can ultimately affect them. Often we are too quick to judge others without taking time to understand what the underlying reasons or causes truly are. It sounds from your beautifully written review that this book would help to enlighten us from an inside perspective.

Sounds like a great way to read about the culture of Spain. The tale is quite relative.

Wonderful review of an apparently wonderful & insightful book. Immigrant stories set in the context of recent history are particularly important at the present moment, & I'd be interested in reading this one.

Immigration is an extremely prevalent issue in today's society, and I am excited to see a book that explores the story of an immigrant. Nevertheless, I do not care for historical books, so I will have to pass. Congrats on BOTD!

It would be interesting to experience the balanced presentation of immigration in this book. So many of us have no understanding of the complexity of the issues. Thanks for the review.

A touching story of a family of immigrants throughout the years. It would be a great family heirloom as well as a source of inspiration for people who experienced the same adversities in life as an immigrant. I added it to my to-read list!

This story makes compelling reasons for immigration. We find people who are driven by a selfless need to survive being forced to cross borders. Thanks for the insightful review.
