That is very smart for the author to begin a story before she came into being. Narrating a story in her grandparents' point of view. Great review.

'Official Review: Pursuing a Better Tomorrow by Blanca De La Rosa' is a lengthy and full description of the contents of the book. The theme of immigration has been dealt properly in the review to help the readers out. It has led to the growing concentration of mind and desire to make an effort in me. The perfect rating given to the book draws our attention. I like the advice offered by the reviewer for potential readers at the end of the review!

The author beautifully explores some family issues and the problems immigrants have to face in the new place.

This sounds like a good book. Moreover, I've never read a book focused on this subject.
Great review!

"Pursuing a Better Tomorrow" by Blanca De La Rosa.Blanca has written it for her children and grandchildren so that they may be inspired by the story of their ancestors with confidence.Blanca strikes a delicate balance while describing the immigrants and all that it entails.Blanca delivers a great message of hope for the immigrants as well for other to believe in yourself, dare to dream and asks them reach out to stars. The author is creative and has spanned depiction of stories of three generations in an organised way.She also beautifully gives deep awareness the readers regarding the importance of older immigrants who create ease for the young immigrants. The stories of immigrants are heart wrenching. The book at the same time gives the lessons how people can overcome severely difficult situations and instills in them confidence and the stamina to bear. The book is very useful for teenagers and adults as well as for social workers, pastors, doctors and nurses and psychologists

Pursuing a Better Tomorrow is a very interesting story. It gives immigrants a sense of hope that they can still not only dream but live it as well. It motivate people to hold on to what's dear to them come what may.

I'm not a reader of memoirs, but I'm interested in immigration literature, so this book definitely caught my attention with the story of a family that struggles to survive in and adapt to new environments. Thanks for your review!

Although her origins lie in the village of Nocedo del Valle, in the region of Galicia, Blanca De La Rosa was born in Dominican Republic in the bosom of a humble family. Fate wanted her to be the living proof that we all can achieve our goals. From a childhood in the projects of New York, she ended up an executive at the American corporation ExxonMobil. It was when assessing her life that she decided to dig into her ancestors history and trace it back to her origins.
Pursuing a Better Tomorrow is more than a novel gathering the history of three generations throughout over a hundred years, it s a wonderful journey from Spain to the United States of America showing the reader our recent history, the ideologies of each time, the harshness of immigration, the struggle for survival, the courage of its main characters and the tricks of destiny, but most of all the strength required to reach a better tomorrow. This great novel will inspire you and give you wings to fight for your goals. Are you ready to get them?

Based on the review this is not something that I would enjoy reading. I am not interested in the story. I am also not a fan of inspirational books. I don't want to read about immigration. I will pass on reading this book.

It sounds like an interesting novel and being a true story that makes it better. I may not relate to it, yet, but I am sure others will find an interest in it.

Thanks for the review, I love that the author starts the book with her grandfather and then continues through to her own life. the book sounds asif it can be very inspirational and the topic is very relevant. Even when you move to a new city, there is a sense of displacement, I can only imagine what it would be like to move to a new country where you don't even understand the language.

Genres like this are my least favorite but your review made me intrigued about it. I have lots of questions about immigration and I think this book could sum up everything about it, plus it could help me realize and empathize for people going through difficult situations like this. Thanks for your review!

I love memoirs and this one sounds interesting. The generational tales and the honesty of the author is a plus. Great review!
