Your thorough review of the book is very promising. However, I'll pass on this one. I don't think I am up for a dark fantasy. People who like horror and fantasy should check it out though. Thank you once again for an honest review.

Did I hear harry potter and game of thrones? Then I'm definitely upto it. But I'm great fan of descriptions too. Hope I'm not dissatisfied with the lack of details.

An adventurous action packed fantasy novel "End of the Last Great Kingdom (The Brimstone Chronicles Book 1)" by Victor Rose, which revolves around Leaf,a mage school student who fears of being removed from mage school is ready to take a fatal risk. Character development with 15 year old guys as the main cast makes it entertaining.
life is only knowing the unknown, we can do this by reading books easily- Online book club is a great place for this. This is what I believe.

I read the sample of the book as well as the official review and agree it is a good book. I was thrown off a bit by the way it was written. It was confusing because it was almost like multiple stories in one so I had to reread a bit to be able to follow it. I agree that it is a lot like the Harry Potter series and that it would be more for a teenage audience. It does not have a lot of gory or violence but it can be very descriptive in some parts. I was very drawn into the book and will get the full book just to see what happens.

Was thinking of giving this one to my daughters when they get a little older, but those themes (rape and murder) sound pretty dark, I might give it a miss.

The book did d not catch my attention and maybe this is because I don't like series and magical related stories. However you have written a very great review for it. Great job.

I usually steer clear of fantasy novels and I'll probably do the same with this one. The ages of the characters sounds a bit out of kilter with some of the themes of the book. Glad you enjoyed it though, and thanks for a great review!

I reviewed this book as well and agree on the dissonance of the student's ages vs. their behavior. They seemed far older than they were supposed to be. It is also more than a bit like Harry Potter. I wouldn't know about the GOT semblance though because I haven't seen any of that show. I'll have to take your word on it. Excellent review!

"The wars and politics were epic, but the story of Brimstone and The Order is just as crazy. " Wow, just that single sentence attracts me to the book. Thanks for such a wonderful review
