I am curious to hear about this as well. I would love to read some of the books that helped to inspire the author to create Echoland.

I am super curious about this as well! I started a whole separate thread discussing this very question. I think it is a cool concept, but it isn't really explained in the book.Sana Rabbani wrote: ↑09 Sep 2019, 10:36 I wonder what actual purpose did the pets in the story have? So, yeah! this is the question.

That is a good one! I was curious how the Fate Sealer's looms would be able to shoot ice darts at people too.
I was also curious how Echoland and the Sound realm are parallel, but magic only exists in Echoland. I wonder why?

I haven't seen the illustrations, since I listened to the book as an audiobook. But the Dali comparison really has me intrigued. I really want to see them now! I may have to get a text copy of the book to see them. Do you know if the author also created the illustrations?djr6090 wrote: ↑09 Sep 2019, 17:26 I wonder if she crafted any of the illustrations before she added the content they depict. The world she created could have any number of pictorial representations. I kind of picture Echoland as a Dali or Esher painting...everything can a little hard to comprehend.

I'm not sure if the author created the illustrations or not, but they were specific to what was about to happen in the chapter. To me they looked like they were digitally made illustrations. They were helpful, but I wouldnt call them stunning by any means. I would definitely like to knowwhere Wolfea is from. She seemed to have a family in Olám Shoné for some time but I still don't understand how she came and went from there.

I'm not sure that wolfea's original family was from Olam shone, because when Will releases her to the pack he describes them as her "new family", implying that she hadnt always been a part of their packFerdinand_otieno wrote: ↑18 Sep 2019, 23:39I would definitely like to knowwhere Wolfea is from. As far as leaving olam shone? Pg. 315 states "There was no Crystillery lock on this side and no mirror. Fluid Conway had explained that the passage did not lock itself to people leaving Olám Shoné, not unless Fortune Tellers or Fate Sealers lurked on the other side."
So my understanding is Wolfea could have left as she pleased, but getting back in would be the hard part

Well explained and I get that Wolfèa met a new family in Olám Shoné. By your explanation, if Wolfèa was from Olám Shoné then she could have originally left to Echoland where she met Will. Recognize that Wolfèa's interaction with her new family was Will's observation which could be skewered due to never knowing her origins.Kro92813 wrote: ↑19 Sep 2019, 07:43I'm not sure that wolfea's original family was from Olam shone, because when Will releases her to the pack he describes them as her "new family", implying that she hadnt always been a part of their packFerdinand_otieno wrote: ↑18 Sep 2019, 23:39I would definitely like to knowwhere Wolfea is from. I would like to also ask the author this because Will and Emmy being twins makes it an intriguing idea for a sequel based on Emmy's POV.

Oh ok. So I only missed out a little bit instead of something super important.
