As I was reading the blurb for this book I was halfway to saying "pass" because it was starting to sound like a story centered around a character trying to gain access to his child to be a part of her life, but then it got the part of where the ex-girlfriend tells him her life is being threatened. That saved this book from being put on the "not for me" shelf. I think that I'll give this book a shot and see where it goes.

Wow! Not only is this categorized as a murder mystery, but I love that the reviewer has it also under the umbrella of twist and turns, crime, romance, suspense, deceit, love and heartache! What a combo!

It is a murder mystery about a co-owner of a protection agency that is implicated in the death of his brother, but his main job ends up being the protection of his ex-girlfriend Bailey and her little daughter.

The plot seems intertwined with another sub-plot, but that's what would make this exciting. A love story with the flavor of a reunion and something else would be worth reading. I could only surmise at best -- I still have to read the story. Nice review.

A murder mystery that centers around a dysfunctional family, murder, and drama sounds great.
Feeling upset sometimes may be unavoidable, but acting distressed is always optional.

As a murder mystery, this book sounds like it has a lot going for it. It's a bonus that it also includes romance and suspense. The characters sound well-developed. Readers will enjoy that element. Great review!

The book title is intriguing and it makes me want to dig into the novel right away. The story may be common and the genre as well but the review mentioning about twists and turns makes it intriguing as well. Congrats!

A murder mystery with realistic characters and lots of twists and turns: that is quite an intriguing combination. I enjoy novels which keep you in suspense and offer surprises. This seems to be a great read.

A murder mystery with a touch of suspense and romance that puts the reader on an emotional rollercoaster sounds like an interesting book. The characters were well developed, and the story was told from different viewpoints. Bogie's brother was murdered, and his ex-girlfriend was being threatened. Your review intrigued me to want to read a book that one would never forget.
