Not too short that they're still awake when you're done, and not quite long enough to keep you at it for long, definitely getting myself a copy. Great review.

I have a close relationship with my mother, too, and I think mother-daughter relationships are a very special bond. This seems like an adorable story with a twist on the classic problem of the kid being the one who doesn't know what to do on their first days in Kindergarten. And you're right, it's important in all relationships that both parties look after each other. It's quite clear that Nene and her mother have a close relationship and both care about each other. I could relate to this because I have a close relationship with my mother. In fact, I found the entire concept of the book endearing. This is because it emphasizes the importance of children also caring about their parents.
A lovely review, thank you!
