Inca, the Siberian kitty, and her siblings are excited about their visit to Sri Lanka. The sandy beach and ice cream provide a conducive environment for the kitties to have fun and enjoy their stay in Serendipity (the Island of Sri Lanka). Inca and her siblings explore the Island and meet new friends. The Island has a thick jungle full of a variety of animal species. Inca gets lost in the jungle and encounters a life-threatening experience. She then discovers that a sword was stolen from a local museum. This prompts her to apply her detective skills to help secure the stolen sword and return it to its rightful place. The investigation won’t be successful without Inca’s detective team. So she invites her detective team. Will the team succeed in their mission? Who are the perpetrators?

Serendipity Mystery: Diary of a Snoopy Cat by R.F. Kristi is a diary drafted by Inca, where she recorded all thrilling, adventurous, and dramatic events revolving around her life and that of her siblings. The plot is characterized by mystery and dramatic scenes. For instance, Inca’s encounter with Mama Leopard is quite dramatic. Thinking of her tiny body trying to be a hero seems delusional. Additionally, the book contains incredible picture illustrations that tie in perfectly with the events. I find this feature appealing because it will create a deep impression on the readers. The best aspect of the book is that it has accommodated fewer illustrations and more writing. It will help the readers to improve on both their reading skills and vocabulary.

What I find appealing about the book is the simple language used and colorful picture illustrations. Additionally, Inca is cautious. She’s not quick to trust her new friends. Before she gets too comfortable with the new friends, she silently questions their motive. Furthermore, the revelation of animal classification is well brought out. The friendly attitude the characters display among themselves is remarkable. Moreover, the decoding of the animal tongue to a human-understandable dialect is quite exciting. It enables the reader to understand the mind of the animals. Ultimately, the questions included in the narrative prepare the mind of the reader on what will happen next.

The story is entertaining and well-crafted that I didn’t find anything to dislike whatsoever. I would only recommend that the picture illustration of the kitties’ human mom be included in the book.

The moral lesson of the story is that teamwork and friendship are integral aspects to accomplish a goal or mission.

The book is exceptionally edited. There are no grammatical errors. It portrays funny and dramatic scenes that entertain the reader from the beginning to the end. The reader is also helped to understand animal family classification and behaviors. Moreover, I find the human and animal combo hilarious and smart. Therefore, I rate the book at 4 out of 4 stars.

Children between ages 10 and 15 will enjoy reading the book.

I just finished reading this one too. It was a delight to read about all the stories where cross-species acceptance and friendliness existed among all the players!
