This sounds like a really interesting storyline. And kudos to the author that wrote such a great debut adult novel. Thank you for your review.

Kindred Journeys is a character-driven drama in small-town America. When heavily-pregnant Martha's car breaks down, she finds herself going into labor. She delivers twins on her own. Then she hitches rides, with babies in tow, trying to get back home. Congratulations to the author for being chosen as BOTD. Thanks to the reviewer for your excellent and honest review.

I am not very fond of character driven novels. But I would like to give this a try since this story reminds me of a buddhist fiction, patachara. Congratulations on being BOTD

This looks like a fabulously written story about family, love, and adventure.
This sounds interesting but it isn't my genre. Congratulations to the author and thanks for sharing a thorough review.

This sounds like a very full story of life as it can be at its most complicated. The characters sound interesting and well developed and the plot is obviously quite intricate. It sounds like this novel is interesting and entertaining and will keep the reader absorbed. For a first time novel, this sounds impressive. Your review of the book showed that you obviously enjoyed it and I found it a pleasure to read.

Sounds like interesting and sophisticated read, but unfortunately in my current mood a bit too complicated. I will have to skip it at the moment, but definitely shelving it for future reference when life is little easier on me)) Thanks for recommendation!

I would love to read this fascinating journey of Martha. Even though it is a work of fiction, I feel like it contains a touch of reality. Congrats to the book of the day.

Martha must have experienced a great turmoil. How did she cope? And yes, "a compelling character-driven narrative with a good sense of humor" is what I'd love to read. I enjoyed reading the review.

Whether or not we agree with everything characters do or say, I love when we are able to make personal connections with them in the books we read. Today's BOTD is no exception. Beautifully written and engaging from start to finish, this character-driven narrative sounds like one we don't want to miss. Thank you so much for the awesome review and recommendation! :-)

Being a single parent I can understand the predicament of a woman being abandoned by the father of her children. However, it is foolhardy to chase after such a man. It would be better to get a job or become self-employed like most of us who experienced this did. And just how soon after giving birth did she return to her quest? :hand:

I love fiction novels that take the reader on a veritable journey along with telling a tale. By leading us through small, little-known towns and areas in America and through its various highways and back roads - the author is painting us a picture.
