The premise of this book seems so different and unique than what I read until now. I'm looking forward to joining Martha's trip. Thank you for the wonderful review!

I don’t enjoy reading about pregnancy and childbirth, and I don’t enjoy reading about men who treat women the way Farley seems to have treated Martha. I think I would also find her desperation to trail after a man who’s abandoned her very irritating, so this book is not for me.

I love character-driven books, especially those that show the dynamic interactions among different perspectives. Thanks for the review. I am adding this to my TBR list.

Character-driven fiction are always good for drama and tension, and this story certainly has the potential for a lot of both. While I'm interested to see in the main character and her plight to find the father of her children, I'm more attracted to the idea of the different kinds of people she will encounter in less-explored areas of the United States along the way. I'll need to remember this when I'm looking for some drama to escape into. Thank you for the helpful review.

You mentioned that you felt it unnecessary that the author named characters that only appeared once, since it made you feel as if you might encounter them later, and you didn't. It got me thinking about how often that might happen in real life. That random stranger who just happened to be there when you needed help. Sometimes their name will stick with you to the point that you remember them every time you meet another person with the same name. Sometimes you remember them because that one encounter started a chain of events that changed your life. I'm now curious about the author's motivation behind naming the random people.
You wrote a compelling review. It sparked my curiosity. I'd like to know how things turn out for Martha. Thank you for your recommendation. 🐢
