From a sampling, this seems like an interesting science fiction story following two sisters and the their time travels. There are some graphic scenes that are not for younger readers. It is worth a second look anyway. Well done.

Thanks for such a great review! I am not a sci-fi fan but will occasionally read one. I have not read the first ones in this series. I am so glad you included information about the graphic sex scenes. It really helps to know ahead of time so one can decide if they want to read a particular book. I am one who loves romance in a novel, but no graphic sex scenes. I hate it when I am halfway through a book and enjoying it, and then it is ruined for me by strong profanity or erotic scenes! I will be passing this one up.

"30th Century: Contact" by Mark Kingston Levin PhD seem like quite an interesting read with some nice concepts about the future - 30th century and 52nd century.

I am not a fan of sci-fi books like this one. Despite the interesting plot, the graphic sex scenes described in your review are a complete turn off for me as well. I don't think I will be reading this one.

30th Century: Contact by Mark Kingston Levin Ph.D. - this takes us way into the future with travel through the universe. If you like sci-fi, this is definitely for you.

The author is very daring to present a very far future through time travel and this makes an intriguing read. The plot is very intriguing as well. What happened to Earth in the fiftieth century; wow, nothing can be as mindboggling as this! Congrats!

Interesting book but the graphic sex scenes is discouraging. I doubt I'll pick this up. Also, I don't like jumping in the middle of a series. Thanks for the review

What a great review! Thanks! I'm familiar with the previous books in the 30th Century series...perfect for those who enjoy SciFi thrillers with added elements of romance. Although I'm also not a fan of the graphic sex scenes, I've added today's BOTD to my WTR list; the creative storyline in Book 3 sounds exciting. :-) Thanks, again!

I think the sex scenes defiles the enjoyment of this interesting sci-fi novel. However, it deserves a read. Thanks for the information in this great review.

I liked the first book and judging by the author's creativity this one will be just as good and according to the review it is even better than the two previous ones. New time travels, new exciting adventures and this time with the artificial intelligence. Congratulations on becoming BOTD!

This book looks really interesting. I will have to read the previous two though as I don't like reading books in the wrong order. Thank you for your review.

:hand: I read the first series of the book, I am glad for a few span of time, Levin already made the 3rd series. The concept of time travel is hard to put down, but mature themes like sex made me annoyed. Thanks for the review.

I'm not a fan of books that have graphic sex scenes for no real reason, and it sounds like these ones don't provide anything to the plot? But otherwise it sounds like a really good book, you described it well and I think I'll start on book one even though its not necessary for this installment

Great review. I think you covered the pros and cons of this book well.
Having only read the sample, I can only comment on the first 2 chapters. These were a mixture of intrigue and confusion for me. For example, I was puzzled by the need to arrange an explanation for the twins being away from their family and friends, after stating that Jenny had to conceal her identity in that century. Did this mean that the public in general were unaware of time travel but it had been revealed to family and friends? If so, why would they need to lie about the mission? One possible suggestion might be so as not to cause distress but I think they would have been supportive of the mission and look forward to hearing of the solution on the twins return.
I also thought the dialogue was very unnatural and characters were unnecessarily mentioned by name during some conversations.

I love time travel stories where events in the past or future are repaired (the BTTF trilogy being the most complete example of this scifi genre, in my opinion, as well as Quantum Leap) but I found the setup for this installment proposed too much that I found unbelievable even though I fully immersed myself in the concept once again. Transporting an asteroid back 5,000 years raises all sorts of problems for me, such as how that would alter the layout of the solar system, our galaxy and even the entire universe. In my opinion this would even threaten the existence of Earth, Mars and their respective inhabitants.
Finally, I was unaware that this was part of a series until reading your review. I'd be surprised if I'd even have made it to this installment if the writing is similar in the previous ones. Plus, I'd have been put off by the graphic sex scenes as well.
