When a book is a part of a series, I like to start from book one. But your review was good! Thank you!

Sounds like an amazing historical fiction/fantasy novel. Congrats on BOTD!

It sounds interesting, I may read it but I am not sure about this genre.

I am not a fan of historical romance fictions. Also I am not sure I find this story line enticing enough to read. Although I like the fact that the primary character of focus if female. It is also commendable that the book is edited well. Nice review, thanks!

Good review! I liked that there is a summary of the two previous books as it will help the reader recall what happened before. I am not a fan of historical romance though. Thanks for the review!

Being stripped of one's identity, being abused but still holding on is a difficult thing. I admire Catrin's strong will despite all tribulations. Thank you for the great review.

This being the third book in a series, I'm glad to hear that the author actually took the time to briefly summarize the previous two books so that the reader is not lost while reading this one. I've never seen that done before so that's a genius move to me. Thanks for this review!

Linnea Tanner seems to have done an outstanding job with this saga. The fact that she included a recap of the first two books extends the audience's radius. Although, personally, I would like to start this series with Book 1 and follow the storyline and characters' growth from the very beginning. Excellent review! Thank you!

I'd like to read this series. I could do without the historical part but it still sounds great. Nice review.

I like that the book has a summary of the previous two books and a list of characters in it. That is a good idea, when you are writing a series. I also like the sound of Catrin proving herself as a warrior to the men surrounding her, but I don’t like the sound of the humiliating physical things they do to her that you hint at, so I probably won’t be reading this.

I still have the first two books on my "to read" list, but I think I'll go ahead and add this one, too. It sounds intriguingly complex, historical fantasy is one of my favorite genres, and I love reading about the time period and locations that it's based in. It's helpful that the book starts with a summary of the first two, but I'll still want to read those before I read this one (especially since I've just been waiting for when I have the time to read the first book). Thank you for the helpful review.
