I am an artist, and my medium is literature. I have been writing for two years, and without writing, I wouldn't have lived through those two years.

I won't really say that I'm a writer, but I just recently self-published my first novel. It took three years to write 357 pages containing 160,000 words. The first year was used for just getting the story told. The next year was spent reorganizing, reordering, rewriting, and editing. The final year was used to polish/finesse the writing and convert the manuscript to a 6 inch x 9 inch page format. The time taken was somewhat misleading, because I didn't have a schedule and worked on and off the project throughout the years. Good luck.

I consider myself a writer. I've been writing as long as I can remember, pretty much. A lot of things got me started too. Until I was about 7-8 years old, I had selective mutism which is an anxiety disorder where the person is perfectly capable of speech but, for some reason or another, won't talk. This pretty much ticked off my entire family so my aunt forced me to write things down. When I found out that I could write more than just answers to questions people asked, I started going crazy with it. I wrote plays, short stories, poems (though I didn't really know they were poems at the time, I just liked the fact that it all rhymed) and then I started doing comic strips. Now, I'm suffering through the inevitable writer's block but I still write... it's just, none of it makes sense after a while.

I've been writing stories since I was 5 years old (really!). I've been writing professionally for 23 years. This is not just stories and novels, but ads, articles and technical writing. You have to love what you do and I do.

Yes.

How long have you been writing?
Since I was a child...used to clip pictures and give my "books" illustrations when I was about 9.

What got you started?

I have always been a wordsmith. I like to paint a picture with words.

Yes I consider myself a writer. I've been writing for about four years now, I was 17 when I first started and didn't stop since, I am 21 years old now. What got me into writing was well I guess you could say it originally started in my childhood where I used to make up stories for superheroes and then go outside and act them out but what drove me to pick up the pen was as a joke when Twilight the movie came out my colleagues decided they wanted to write Vampire novels as well as for me I didn't watch Twilight I looked the other way at Quantum of Solace and remembered Bond was originally a character of novels. So I said to myself that I can write a spy novel and it can be ten times better than the stuff you guys write and then I began writing and then all of sudden I looked at the first page and began thinking this has potential and then I just kept on adding stuff and writing till it turned into a full novel.

I’ve written stories since I was quite young. The first one I remember was around age 15, something about a family of unicorns and their adventures! I first started writing seriously to try and get published around 2001.
