Undermajordomo Minor by Patrick DeWitt is a quaint, easy-to-read tale with a crazy title and even crazier characters. The title derives from the lead character, Lucien (Lucy) Minor, who leaves his home town of Bury to become an assistant housekeeper of sorts, under the majordomo, Mr Olderglough, in a castle owned by the Baron Von Aux.

All of the characters are kooky, as is the whole darn plot. The dialogue is fast and witty, if not very realistic, making the novel quite a hoot.

This is one to enjoy and chuckle over, as DeWitt takes us on a fanciful ride into a nutty but charming world. 4 stars out of 5
So we beat on, boats against the current, borne back ceaselessly into the past.

The last book I read was VieVie La Fontaine, by Linda Heavner Gerald. I rated it 4 out of 4 stars. It was a great read; it was one of the best historical fictions I have read recently.

It Happened on Christmas Eve by Kirsty Greenwood.

It was SUCH a sweet, light hearted holiday romance, I recommend it for those who like cozy romances, with a lot of wittiness. I rated it 5 stars on Amazon, which is rare for me.

Latest Review: André's Reboot by Steve Coleman

I just finished reading Andre's Reboot by Steve Coleman. Overall it was a good read, but it went from being a fun sci-fi tale to being a political diatribe. I was tempted to stop reading when it turned into a Trump bashing fest because I felt it took away from the sci-fi element, but I wanted to find out what happened to Andre at the end. If you look at it as a "tongue in cheek" story you will find it very enjoyable, (even if you're a Trump supporter.)

Killing Abel, a great historical story covering the antediluvian period. I rated it 3 out of 4 stars due to the errors and simplicity.
