The book is made from two genres, sci-fi, military, that both am not a fan of. But if the charachters have a good characterization I give it a shot.

Congrats to Christopher J. Penington's on Masters and Bastards' BOTD honors. This sci-fi fantasy book weaves plot, multiple themes and dimensions to deliver a compelling page-turner. Great review. :tiphat:

Sounds like the author gave this world a lot of thought. The difference in races lead to a lot of tension. I'm not much for big fight scenes but these sound well done.

When your mind is set for war, you are forced to trust no one because you think that anyone can be your enemy, or used by your enemy. I see why Andreas rarely trusted anyone. Thanks for your review which has helped me know that this is not a non-fiction novel.

The cover doesn't really grab my attention, I would not have guessed that it is a fantasy/science fiction story. However, it does sound very exciting and filled with adventure. Congrats on the book of the day. Great review.

This sounds like a perfect book, aside from the errors, for sci-fi fans. As such, fantasy, sci-fi is my anti-genre, so I will pass. Thanks for the review.

Andreas Marset, being the hero of the novel and a military man in the Iberian army, is also a bustard and an Arpathian, who despite of racism in his country, he's a psionipath with no idea how strong his powers. Thanks for the review.

"He also has no idea how strong his powers are, nor does he know why he's a pawn in a growing number of plans and conspiracies" is my favorite line in your review. It sets the stage for the intensity of the story.

This book takes place in another galaxy where there are two alien races. This sounds incredible. I can't wait to see how this is done.

An astonishing and detailed review. I love a fantasy sci-fi novel, and this story attracts me a lot. The restrictions forced on the hero spices up the plot a whole lot more! A complete saga with a solid intrigue? I would undoubtedly read the book.

This review is very detailed! I loved the creativity that seems to be present in this book. While I don't like the high levels of action and suspense that this book offers, I appreciate the author's hard work!

I don't usually go for sc-fi, but I agree with your review that this book was exceptional. Nicely put when saying there were 'big moments'. These held the reader from beginning to end, always seeking the next moment. Agree, regretably, there were tons of errors which I hope the author/publishers note for future books. True it didn't spoil the book, but I found towards the end I was noting down more than I was flowing with the read.
