A sci-fi and romance novel, this sounds like an interesting read. Though I'll have to pass. However, kudos to the author on the way he developed Andreas character. Thanks for this review.

I stick to my original opinion about this book. Thanks!

A well blended of fantasy and sci-fiction in the book "Masters and Bastards" by Christopher J. Penington. The story is set in another galaxy after the Earth was destroyed. The story follows Andreas Marset, who is the hero of the novel and belong to group Arpathians, who are under privileged to another group Iberians. The story looks quite interesting.
life is only knowing the unknown, we can do this by reading books easily- Online book club is a great place for this. This is what I believe.

I enjoy sci-fi novels where the author creates interesting worlds and aliens, especially when it features good plots and deep characters; this one is a bit long, but I may give it a look anyway. Thanks for the review, Cataclysmic. :techie-studyingbrown:

I don't normally gravitate toward sci-fi and fantasy that I am not familiar with, because I'm such a stickler for world-building. However, I find this concept very interesting. Good review!

Andreas is surely an awesome character and I can see that the author has a great way to elaborate on the world that is filled with action and drama.

The book seems to be a bit lengthy at 400 pages, but by the way the story goes on with such twists and unexpected turns, it is worth a read to pass some time.

I think there is scope for improving the errors in the manuscript, and other than that, it is awesome.

From what I know, I can rate this one 3 out of 4 stars. Many people who face the challenge of making life-changing decisions that can have huge consequences should be able to relate to this book.

This sounds like an interesting book for those into sci-fi and military-type plots. I'm not really into those genres but I have seen many 3 and 4 star reviews of Masters and Bastards.

Nice review!

The sample was good, but I tend to avoid books with entirely different worlds. The terminology and unfamiliar concepts makes it difficult to engage with. The grammatical errors are also worrying. It’s a good concept, but I’ll have to pass this time.
Comment on my review and I'll comment on yours. I'm always looking for new books to read!

Your review convinced me to put yhis novel in my to-read list! The action-packed war scenes and the tense moments are something I look forward to. Andreas' abilities intrigue me as well.

I just finished reading the sample and already want to purchase the book. The beginning did have immediate errors and I thought sounded like a bit out of a Star Wars scene. However, your review is spot on about the way the author pulls you in to find out why this poor young man is getting so much heat! Nice review.

Masters and Bastards; a sci-fic novel that commences immediately in another galaxy by being fascinating, fast-paced, with well developed characters as well as relatable will surely be a show-stopper for the aforementioned reasons and many more. Congratulations on being the book of the day!

It is one of the best narration that mirrors a reality that we see or we've seen in our society. The author took his time with this one no doubt. Loved your thorough review. Kudos.

This science-fiction/fantasy novel sounds like it is full of big moments and plot twists. Based on the cover I would definitely not have guessed this was a science fiction book. Congrats on the book of the day. Great review.

You are right. I have just posted my review of this book. The errors are so many. The book was not well edited at all. I also rated it 3 stars. But for the errors, the book is a 4-star book.
