The book seems interesting. Healthy eating is very popular nowadays and we need to know how to do it correctly not to harm ourselves. Congratulations on becoming BOTD!

The statement that the book isn't pushy or preachy makes me more likely to take a look at it. I would like to incorporate more vegetarian meals (I will never be a vegan, I like cheese far too much) but being scolded doesn't sit well with me. I have been miserably married to ED (Eating Disorder) since I was twelve years old and tend to avoid anything that might trigger his resurgence. Thank you for the informative review.

Both my brother and his wife are vegan, and he has discussed it with me several times. As reflected by the author, he feels healthier and has much more energy than before (he's in his early 60's). I do love meat of all sorts, but perhaps I should read the book and find out more. Hmmm...maybe I'll talk to my brother about it again at Christmas. I might even give him the book! Excellent review. Thanks!

The book seems packed with information and delicious vegan recipes. I'm a meat eater, but I wouldn't mind trying out some of the recipes.

Palate-pleasing, plant-based alternatives should be all the rage! As a vegetarian myself, living in Texas, I've had to convince many carnivores over the years that I don't just nibble on greens like a rabbit. This sounds like it would be a great recipe book addition to any household!

He details the health benefits of plant-based diets and discusses foods that are believed to contribute to major illnesses.
A well-written book filled with creative recipes sounds a must-read for vegans! Plus, the author used a friendly tone to share his experience, and the book was professionally edited! It is not my genre, so I will pass on this one. Fans of the genre will enjoy it! Thank you for the detailed review!

I'm not much into recipes, so this book isn't for me. It was interesting to learn how the "standard American diet" is called though. But the "vegan chicken" left me puzzled...

This book may appeal to some, but I’m not interested. There is so much information out there that plant based diets are not healthy either. I look for alternative diets that don’t get rid of meat. And vegan meat isn’t meat. But I’m sure it’s still a great read.

Thanks for the interesting review concerning this book. I'm not a vegan, but I do love checking out recipes. I have to say that I agree that the SAD isn't the best and that I'm looking to change and improve mine, so this book will go on my backlist for later to check out.

This sounds like a great book. I've been trying to do a more Paleo diet lately got health reasons. I'm sure some of these recipes would work for me. I'm glad the author found something to help him with his own health crisis. Thanks!

Thanks for the excellent review! I have been wanting to try a vegan diet as I have multiple health issues and I am on a ton of medication. However, there are so many things I don't like on the diet! Such as Hummus and tofu are at the top of the list! I'm sure if I ate something someone else fixed I would probably like it as long as I didn't know what the ingredients were! But to fix it myself I don't think I could get past using the plant-based protein substitutes. I am going to read this book for sure since you mention the recipes are different than most vegan books. Thanks for the recommendation! :tiphat:

This sounds like the perfect guide for those who are looking to switch over completely or just incorporate more of a plant-based diet in their lives. Thanks for a great review.
