The story reveals to the reader the answer to the question "Who is a man?" Exploring different cities is the best treat one can offer to him/herself. And the four gentlemen did well to do that albeit the responsibilities they had as employees, husbands, and fathers. Though they suffered injuries on their missions, they didn't give up. This brings up the impression that one should stick to their commitments come what may. Additionally, endurance is the key factor for one to complete a course in life.

I like the diverse culture and beliefs in the book. One belief that amuses me is the Siberian belief that "a real man catches and kills their own food." The characters are funny and interact freely with each other. The reader can feel their bond of love reading through their conversations. The mission rules are hilarious, funny, and thought provoking.

I don't understand why the protagonist is not identified by a unique name. I kept asking myself, Is it a feature in writing? or Is the protagonist the author of the book?

The book will appeal to those who love to travel and explore different region and cities in the world.

I will rate the book after I'm done reading the book.
Thank you for your input. Hope the book turns out wonderful. I love books about traveling and this book seems interesting.

I am just midway through the book at the moment and have enjoyed every bit of it so far. I surely cannot offer my opinions at this point, but I will update my comment as soon as I am done reading the book fully.

However, there are creative ways of adding his name to the story, like adding it to dialogues directed at him. All the same, this is a great book which I would rate 3 stars.
I am just getting started on the book. Your point of view on why the protagonist doesn't have a name is intriguing. I will provide a rating once I'm done reading it.

Well, I'm not a fan of books that involve travelling adventures and so this book will unfortunately not appeal to me. However, after reading the comments about it, I'm as interested as everyone else in finding out why the protagonist was not assigned a name.

I don't normally like to listen to books, but thought that the traveling premise of this tale would lend itself to that format. I am anxious to see if not being able to see the words will impact my enjoyment of the story.
Update on audible trial: Having trouble staying awake while listening. I may have to listen while I walk. I am enjoying the story; the narrator's Australian accent isn't too hard to understand.

I hope you will enjoy reading it despite the anonymity of the protagonist. It's such a hilarious book.

I read just a few pages but what I liked most is their energy and positive attitude. They just decided from nowhere that they should go out and explore the world. Although they had talked about it years ago, it just sounds crazy to me that someone would just decide that they are going to explore the world without considering much. I wish life was that easy🤣🤣

Honestly, I'm not planning on reading the book. It's really just my not to my personal tastes - I'm very tired of reading narratives about male characters putting their health in danger to prove how "manly" they are. It reminds me rather uncomfortably of Chris McCandless's story.

I have definitely come across many reviews of this book, although I haven't had the chance to pick it up. Still, it seems like an interesting read, since it seems like it covers a decent breadth of various cultures and traditions.

I liked the book very much, it gave me the feeling that I was taking the trips myself, breaking the rule of "men only". This is also what I liked most about it, the fact that I could be there, with them as one of the participants. I also liked the humor, which was spontaneous and natural. If there was something that I did not like, it was excluding women from the adventure. I only wish a friend of mine called me, like Sam did the author, and invite me, even on a much smaller scale trip.
I would definitely recommend the book to other people, first of all, I would have to my mother, God bless her soul, who was a big fan of trips and adventure.
My rating of the book is four out of four stars. Thank you for writing it!

I am actually very thrilled that this book is BOTM in January; precisely at the beginning of the year. It can assist a lot of people to find their purpose, get inspiration for what they'll do as the year progresses and finally learn about the author's hilarious golden rules. I rate this man mission a perfect 4 out of 4 stars.

This book is really awesome and I think it is perfect as a BOTM for the beginning of the year. I like the humour, the persistent spirit of the characters to stay true to the annual adventure they have set for themselves and the rich details with which the author gets my undivided attention.
In fact, this book has given me the motivation and inspiration I need to continue with the goals I have set for this year.
I am almost done with this book and I think I would rate it 4 out of 4 stars.

I loved the descriptions of the different locations and the author's ability to make you laugh at their dilemmas.

I decided to give the book a three because the chapters began to feel repetitive. The format of all the chapters was the same. Describe the location, complain about the marriage, eat strange foods, and get injured! I would have been willing to give it a four had it been shorter.
