Me too. The way the author describes each location, I can almost picture imagine how breathtakingly beautiful they are.

I have been to Australia, but not specifically where the Man Mission location is either. That trip was a vacation with my family, but it was only for 2 days before heading to New Zealand.
Peru and Australia are at the top of my bucket list. This sounds like you have taken some amazing trips!

Wow, that is awesome. I really hope to be able to go there someday. I hope you have a great trip!

Kauai here!

But I definitely have Australia and Japan on my list of countries to visit before I die. Hopefully Australia will have had time to heal by then

I have not been to any of these sites. I visited Lima but didn't venture out to Machu Picchu. His descriptions of the different locations are excellent and inspire the reader to want to see them with their own eyes.

Sadly I haven't been to any of the locations mention in the book but they all sound very interesting. I want to visit these places now, especially to Iceland and would love to see the moving glaciers and northern lights.

I have never been to any of these locations. I live in the US, and have family in Hawaii, but have never gotten to visit. I also have family in Austrailia, and have discussed vacationing there with my grandmother.

The descriptions in the book were awesome. I think he was writing from experience, right? I was looking for a clue that this was a memoir-type piece but I couldn't find anything.

I have never been to any of the locations, but my friend and I have always discussed going to Japan. I have always wanted to see the country especially the beautiful cherry trees and the ancient architecture. The descriptions of Fiji and Hawaii sound like beautiful places to travel to as well. I have recently watched a program about the Northern Lights and I would love to go to Iceland to see them in person.

Machu Picchu has always been a dream destination for me, perhaps I should channel more effort into actually getting there, like this author did. 8) I thought the descriptions really evoked a tangible atmosphere. Good book.

Unfortunately not! I've been to Spain, but never to Andalusia, the region mentioned in the book. Although I traveled a fair amount, I'm not a super adventurous person. But of all the locations mentioned in the book, I'd love to visit Vietnam and Peru.
