It's a well told true story. I like the humour and sincerity of the author. He captures moments of his life so vividly. The high expectations of his father and the courage of his mother to stand up for him were all necessary for him to realize his dreams. This is one story I will enjoy reading and easily relate to. Excellent review! The 50s-60s were my era. The book sounds like a beautiful compilation of stories I am sure would bring back many memories from my childhood years. This sounds like really heartwarming and emotional book. I find it exceptional that the author chose to write about "happy memories that he doesn't want to forget". Usually, we are filled with negative memories and things that left us with scars. We all need to remember the happier times. Great review!!
