This sounds more like a memoir. Though the themes of family, community, faith, etc sound good, overall I don’t think this is a book I would pick. Thanks for a neat review.

Usually I am not into story collection books such as this> yet this one does come across as interesting but I am still not sure it is a book that I will actually read.

While nonfiction is not something I read regularly, I do enjoy biographies and autobiographies, especially when they are well written. This novel sounds as if it fits into the category of nonfiction that I willingly read - especially as the stories provided seem to be filled with family life and those humorous mistakes we all make - so I may just choose to add this book to my collection. This is definitely a great collection of stories that grip the reader emotionally. I love that there are elements of humor throughout the book.

It is always good to learn. I especially love to learn about other people's culture, habits and more. It seems like this book will offer me exactly that. On top of that, it is exceptionally edited. Great review.

I would be delighted with stories about family and old-fashioned living in some simple town ambiance. The experiences of childhood are readily reminisced with this novel. How simple and sweet was life then. The pockets of civilization seemed so far from each other, unlike now that events in faraway places could perturb you in your peaceful neighborhood. I agree, it's been all good, those good ol' times. Thanks for the review.
