This is a great story! I've read others by this author and always enjoy them. I think it's very professional of him to take reviewers work seriously enough to act on corrections and make the book more perfect. Thanks for the grand review!

It sounds interesting but I do not like tons of short stories, I prefer something longer that I can really get into.

It's nice that some of the stories were inspired by many people in Charles' life and are heartwarming and funny. I also like that there are pictures at the beginning of each chapter. Wonderful review.

The cover is not inviting; however, reading through the review, it seems like a wonderful book.

Thanks for the review. This book is heart warming with the fond reminiscences and old photographs. It reminds me of my own childhood. The sense of peace this book creates is too precious to not read this.

Sounds like a book with tons of great memories; the author apparently had a wonderful childhood. It would be really appealing to lovers of family tales. I'm not particularly interested in it though, so, I'll pass. But I do love the little boy's priceless smile on the cover. Thanks for the review.

I'm just out of a memoir, so I think I'll skip this one, for now. But I will add it to my shelf. It seems like a wonderful reminder about the importance of the family in our lives. Lovely review! Thanks!

A collection of uplifting essays that describe the author's childhood. That is very nice. I myself have good childhood memories that make me laugh at how silly I was. I added it to my to-read list!

I love books like that remind us of what family and community should look like in an ideal world. Sacchetti's stories definitely sound inspiring. Thanks for this review

A collection of personal memoir-type essays about a person’s life and different family traditions sounds like something comforting to read after a stressful day. I’m not keen on the baseball side of it but other than that it your review makes it sound so good.

I'm really not a "back in the day" type, but I think that everyone could use some feel-good stories/personal essays like the ones in this book right now. Reading about someone else's nostalgia and good memories might just make us feel better and lift our spirits, maybe even remind us of some of the things we have in common, like family and community, in this time when we keep trying to tear ourselves apart for our differences. Thank you for the helpful review.
