I have been to Hawaii but unfortunately not to Kauai, which I hear from everyone is the best of them all. I will have to go back someday and make sure I get to see it for myself.

You have some good excuses to go to great places! Yes, I believe the author is a travel blogger in addition to an author, so I assume he's probably been to the locations he's writing about. Being a travel blogger would be a dream job for me!pshaw1414 wrote: ↑08 Jan 2020, 15:46 I have never been to any of these locations. I live in the US, and have family in Hawaii, but have never gotten to visit. I also have family in Austrailia, and have discussed vacationing there with my grandmother.
The descriptions in the book were awesome. I think he was writing from experience, right? I was looking for a clue that this was a memoir-type piece but I couldn't find anything.

This is on our bucket list too. My husband and I were planning to go do the Inca trail, but our daughter wants to come with us

To take us lands away,
Nor any coursers like a page
Of prancing poetry.
This traverse may the poorest take
Without oppress of toll;
How frugal is the chariot
That bears a human soul!

I was beyond amazing. And a strange aside is that one of the friends that I went on this trip with is a Navy retiree. She was deathly afraid of the water! I'm like the Man Mission men, I dive in without looking for sharks!unamilagra wrote: ↑11 Jan 2020, 15:16That sounds amazing! I will have to make it out there some day.
