In the guide, she specifically breaks Celaena's full name as "Sell-Lay-Nah Sar-Doth(like cloth)-Ee-En "
This is also on the fandom wiki page, in case you can't find a copy of the book with the guide in it.

I absolutely love Sarah J Maas. Her writing is gripping, and her stories and characters are incredibly well developed. Both of her series are absolutely amazing.Monet_va wrote: ↑23 May 2019, 06:55 I absolutely loved the Throne of Glass series! Now that it's finished, I hope that her next adult fantasy series is as thrilling and hooks me just as much. For those of you that loved this book, go check out her other series, A Court of Thorns and Roses! It's quite a different story, but it hooks you all the same.

In my head, I read Celaena as Se-lee-na or Se-lay-na. Partly due to Selena being a femme fatale name used before. Thought maybe they could be influences? To me, it looks like a fantasy spelling of Selena or Celena. It rolls off the tongue and gives her a girly vibe. According to J.R.R. Tolkien, the 'ae' string ought to be said "I" or "eye." He also set a rule in his lore that says no word beginning with C should sound like 'S.' There's loads of english words that do though.Firegirl210 wrote: ↑13 Feb 2019, 11:49 Does anyone have strong feelings on how to pronounce her name? In my head I've been saying "Kuh-LAY-nuh" but was curious how other folks interpret it.
There's other people and place names I'm not 100% on. Chaol I pronounce "Kale." Endovier I say "Endo-veer" rather than "Endov-ee-air." Perranth I say "Purr-anth"
