Science fiction is really a genre I don't read much. But this review and the book are compelling me to do so. With variety of themes it touches it appears a good ride to planet obsidian, I want to take.

This book sounds like it has a great combination of world-building and discussing ethics in science. I am excited to check it out! Great review!

I like it when I have science stories on the TV or the cinemas. I've not tried reading one though, since I think, it really needs a deeper guide in whatever is being told. But from your review I really feel likes I should try this for sure.
Thanks for the review

A spaceship lands on the planet Obsidian to look for natural resources. But if they find intelligent life they will abandon their search and leave the inhabitants alone. This sounds like an interesting story. Congratulations to the author for being chosen as BOTD. Thanks to the reviewer for your excellent review.

Diamond-rich planets, small creatures, and sandstorms?! Now that sounds like a truly cyclonic tale of mystery and suspense.

Science fiction and fantasy? Interesting. The theme of this story about treating others with respect and compassion although they act differently from us is another reason why I decided to pick up this book. Good review!

Great review. Thank you for touching on the different points of view. Usually, books are only written from the point of view from one side so they get all of the sympathy. I like the message of empathy your review says the book shares.

Well, the plot of this book doesn't really look like something that is up my alley. I'm not a fan of exploration of other planets. I'll take a pass on this one.

Typically, I don't like sci-fi very much, but your review has piqued my interest in this book. The theme of this book is also good and realistic. Thanks for this well-rounded review.
